Moving to Roanoke VA
 

well we're moving at the end of January for my wife's new job (better pay & good benefits). anyone know if there are any members in the area? close by? any good B&Ms in the area?.......guess I'll nave to modify my cane with a little ski-boot on the tip for better traction......already checked the area for Gun Ranges, VFWs, VA Hosp and areas to look for housing. thanks for all the support this past year with all our medical issues.

Safe travels, brother! Alas, it appears you will be a bit too far from the DC area, and Norfolk area, where I herf twice a year or so and there are lotsa great BOTL!

IMHO - VA is the best state in the Union. Very pretty out by Roanoke. I was just out at AP Hill this past weekend - good to be back in my homestate for a few short days.

Roanoke seams cool I never been but have wanted to go it is next to the highest part of the blue ridge mountains in Va,
and coming from flat Florida to a major part of the mountains should be a interesting change for you.
hope you have a safe and fairly effortless move and hope to herf with you at some point

well after spending a week on Craigslist and some Realtors, we found a nice single family home in SE of Roanoke.....I go back to FL on Monday to load moving van Thursday to be back in Va by Saturday.....Cheryl's new job is going great and we love the area and all the hills
