Low country Boil....

This Northern boy has a thing for southern cooking!.....Got a new 100 qt. pot, my 35 qt. just didn't seem big enough...Had my daughter's grad party at the house last saturday.....smoked 30+ lbs of pork for Carolina pulled pork sandwiches...needed something else to feed the masses (80+ people plus the steady stream of high school grads)...Sticking with Carolina, did a low country Boil....corn, potatoes, sausage and shrimp...

The "vessel"...

The "mix"....onions, lemons, head of garlic, Old Bay, salt. and 5 Zatarains shrimp boil bags....some Swamp Fire liquid crab Boil for the zing....

Dump the pot on a newspaper lined table...

What, no invite? ;)

Awesome bro! :tu

I did the same thing last summer with Crawfish I had flown in from LA, and some Blue claws driven up from MD.
I also had a Gas leak in the hose on one burner, that set my bushes and fence on fire.
But that's a story for a different day! :ss

We love doing boils, did some shrimp with head on and some whole blue crabs a few weeks back. The bride and I are going away for our third anniversary this week we are talking about doing another boil some shrimp and I'll find something else to through in with the vegtables, maybe lobster, maybe crab legs, clams, or whatever is for a reasonable I'll try to remember to post pics.
