Looking for a good birthday cigar

So my birthday is next week the 4th and I’m looking for a really nice cigar to celebrate. Anyone have any recommendations?

What kind of stogies do your local places carry? Some of Padron, Ashton, and Fuente's higher end cigars make for a good special occasion smoke.

I would say its all about taste then budget. Special occasion cigars IMHO should be something in your wheel house flavor wise and then budget wise. If you enjoy light to medium body/flavor cigars then most of the Padron line will knock you into the next county. Similarly priced sticks you may want to look at Dunhill. If budget is an issue as well then Caldwell could be a good choice. But with 10's of 1000's of choices make it something you have heard of but havent tried. I hear you will have some of those in a couple of weeks. :r

Hard to make a suggestion not knowing what type of flavor you like. My go to cigar for just about any occasion is a Liga Privada #9.

Whatever you like, smoked with good friends is what makes it a special cigar!

I have had lots of excellent cigars with friends, and had quite a few of those same exact cigars without good friends around. While the flavors were the same whenever smoked, they were much better cigars with the good friends than they were when I was alone!

Truth be told, I have had mediocre cigars around a campfire with good friends which I have remembered smoking far longer than some exquisite cigars smoked alone.

My suggestion to you is to have a few cigars you enjoy, and make sure you have some good friends to enjoy them with you!

God's blessings to you on your birthday.

Does your B&B stock Oliva products? An Oliva V or V Melanio would be nice.

Good suggestion. :tu

If not, a cigar from either the Hemingway or Don Carlos line from Fuente is a good option.

:tu I think both of those options would be pretty darn good for a newcomer. It's hard to go wrong with either.

Romeo y Julieta (NC) is from Altadis USA
Cohiba (NC) is from General Cigar

Here are the sites where you can see what else they own or distribute, which should give you an idea of what your B&M might carry
