Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

I was really surprised by this lighter. It's a very simple and basic lighter that gets the job done time after time. It lights up on first click. The top opens/closes very solid and crisp. It has all the standard features: adjustable flame, re-fill/purge port, etc.

It beats the hell out of my Nibo and other cheap lighters costing 2-4x as much.

As you can see, this lighter is built like a TANK.

Verdict:

I've had mine for over a year now and I'm very happy with the lighter. It lights up every time. For $3-5, this is possibly the best lighter/deal out there. I picked up a few more for backup but I'm still using this one. If any of you guys don't have one, go out and get one. Hell, for the price get a couple. :tu

Awesome lighter. I have had mine for about three years now and I just cannot kill it! It takes beating after beating, gets scratched, dropped, and I always use cheap fluid and it continues to work. Great product with awesome durability. To top it off, I think I paid $1.98 for it!!

They are great lighters. Not as fancy as the more expensive ones but they actually work. :tu

As the proud owner of about 12 of them I think they are one of the best performing best built products in the smoking industry.:tu Downside is they are top operated and don't perform well with ring gauges over about 50. They have been available at Walmart for $2.96 for a long time but seems Walmarts are not carrying them much anymore. :td Also they can sometimes be found for $3 at Big Lots. Ronson sells them for $5.50 online: http://www.ronsonstore.com/jetlite.aspx

Fleabay usually has them in quantities at a good price too.

Don't worry Brent. You slapped me silly enough as it is. We shall tango again some day though. Oh yes, I'm sure of it.
Thanks Dave. You kick some serious arse man!

Some Wal-Marts, CVS, and Wal-Greens carry them for $3-$5. I also found them at a WinCo Foods in Yuba City when I was there.

Only downside to the JetLites is that you can't see how much fuel is left.

Good lighter...I have a hand full! I suggest everyone have one even if it is a back up to their fancy lighter!

You can find them at Wal*Mart but it is difficult. They are also the #1 lighter for crackheads and they sell out fast.

Nice little lighters. Several 12-pack lots on ebay right now. Guessing that they'll actually go in the $30 range or under.

I have had 3 different ones. All of them died within 2-3 months of usage. I use quadruple lava fuel, so it's not that. To me they have never been that great of a bargain. DE has some nicer looking clear tank models and they have lasted me years.

Actually that may be it :D

I used good fuel when I first started using mine too. Had some issues and read somewhere to just use Zippo fuel. Since changing they light first time every time :tu

I have a dozen laying around all over the place so I never need to look too far for one. When one runs out I refill it and throw it back in a pile somewhere.

Not many crackheads here in the mountains but they sold the heck out of them at the local non-super Walmart before recently discontinuing them. Must be useful for the Meth Industry too cause we sure enough got plenty of that here.
