A very long road

Many years ago I graduated from high school. Got accepted to Oregon State University and was pursuing a degree in business administration when it really hit me that it wasn't what I wanted to do with my life. I had a friend in the engineering program there that told me I would be a good fit, so I began looking at the college's webpage and after checking career paths & researching a bit I came to the conclusion at the end of winter term of my freshman year that I wanted to pursue Computer Engineering.

I kept taking business classes that spring and took an intro class to the ECE department. Fell in love with it immediately and changed my major after that term. 5 long hard years of Computer Engineering with a CS minor and 1 year of work experience interning at Mentor Graphics and RadiSys, I have all this in front of me.

(My wife's diploma is already in there. She graduated there to.)

And these came in the mail today.

Excellent work Jordan!! If you do what you like, it hardly seems like work. Sadly i don't find myself in that boat any longer so it's important to stick to and accomplish what you enjoy most because when it starts feeling like a job, it's no longer that much fun.

Ever wonder why BOSS spelled backwards is double S, O, B? Coincedence?

Big congratulations, be proud of yourself. Biggest mistake I ever made was not continuing my education.

Mucho kudos

Congrats #2. Have fun pursuing the career. I've got about a year and some change to go on mine, but I'll be finishing up with a similar degree. Must be something about the name.

Congratulations on your degree.

My uncle worked in sales for Tektronix for like 20-30 years. He made out quite well.
