Starbuck's Via Iced Coffee!!

My wife works part time at Starbuck's and she did me the wonderful service of bringing home some samples of the new Via Iced Coffee w/ Sugar.

Basically it is the Via mixed with immediately dissolvable sugar that will "brew" in cold water. This stuff, let me tell you, is an epic win!! I've had two servings of it today and want more!!

...I'm thinking that I can use a combo of ice and milk in the blender with a packet of this stuff and make an epic frap (maybe even add some Kahlua, irish cream, or some Jameson's for the "adult" version). Do yourself a favor and pick it up. Iced coffee wherever you go!

Via is Starbuck's brand instant coffee -- which is actually quite good. The original Via comes in many brews and is made for hot water. This new stuff (the Iced Via) is for cold water.

I really like the Via packs and want to try the Ice Brew ones. Good to hear (or actually read) that someone hear likes em. I think I will stop and get some tonight. Thanks!!

I got a free sample in the mail for the VIA instant hot coffee (Italian Roast). I've yet to try it, but I was skeptical of both hot and iced coffee. Glad you liked it....I will have to try them now.

Well to each their own. Coffee has more compounds to it then wine but if simplicity is issue then box wine and instant coffee are kissing cousins. :D

Sorry, I joke, I take coffee very seriously and have to a little poke at instant coffee and actually question what the heck is "immediately dissolvable sugar".

Give it a shot, man. It's actually really good for an instant. I mean, if you're a coffee snob, then you won't be happy without your super fresh beans, perfectly heated water and french press lol... But all that aside, the Via stuff is actually really good for instant.

As for the sugar - immediately dissolvable is just that. It dissolves almost instantly. Regular sugar does not. It must either be melted or soaked for long periods of time. However, things like equal and Truvia are instantly dissolved. This stuff is sugar that is formulated to dissolve the same way.

LOL, I am a coffee roaster and no there is nothing that comes close to what I roast except other roaster on par or better with/then me. So like sugar but not sugar?
