Templeton Rye "The Good Stuff"

Anyone here ever try Templeton Rye? It is distilled in my home state of Iowa and was first started during the Prohibition. It it known as "The Good Stuff" and is said to have been Al Capone's whiskey of choice.

It is hard to come by and is technically only sold in Iowa, New York and San Francisco.

Here is their website http://www.templetonrye.com/home/

I enjoy drinking it straight over crushed ice, which has been compared to drinking a snowflake, or mixed with Pepsi.

They are currently on batch 4 and will start bottling batch 5 later this year.

Also if any of you watch the show "Boardwalk Empire", one of my favorites, be sure to look for Templeton Rye to be shown in a few episodes. At least that is a rumor I heard.

If you haven't tried it I highly recommend it, if you can find it!:)

Not sure what the rules are about this, but if anyone would like a bottle I will be happy to pick one up next time I see it and will ship it for cost + shipping.

As I noted it is hard to find but they usually ship around the first of the month.
