Warped La Hacienda superiores. I’m conflicted with this one. Flavor was phenomenal initially. I got a lot of cream and pistachios. But I had to babysit the damn thing. Kept turning off on me and the ash was flakey. There’s no doubt the tobacco is high quality but I became so damn frustrated. Anyone else have experience with this one?

Never had one, Leo. Was it new to your humidor? Was is super hot or humid?

2018 Crowned Heads Las Calaveras for me, definitely my favorite release of these.

Yep. In my experience, these are one of those NCs that seem to smoke better at a lower RH like some maduros and CCs. I've been having the best luck with my La Haciendas lately by keeping them in a smaller sealed plastic bag with a small 49% boveda for a week or so before smoking. However I understand that might not be handy to everyone so I'd suggest dry boxing them for about 2-3 days before smoking.

Definitely a bit of an annoyance, but when you light up a Hacienda that burns right....you realize it's totally worth the effort. :tu

Tom and Michael, you’re right. It was a humid night after some rainfall. I’m not giving up on this one. I’ll order some more and revisit another time. Thanks for your input.

La Boheme Robusto - very nice medium full, very rich Dominican cigar, I think this box is about 2 years old now and showing no signs of mellowing in intensity as of yet :tu

HC Criollo Toro - these are perfect when I have the itch for a Honduran (well I guess a little Nicaraguan too) criollo blend but don't feel like paying for Camacho Criollos. :tu

Casdagli Daughters of the Wind Toro - found these on sale a while back and decided to treat myself to 5 of them. This being the first one, I'm impressed! Definitely some flavorful aged tobacco here, nice complexities and fine construction as well...but it's far too expensive generally speaking. Definitely recommended but I'd suggest waiting for a sale if you buy.
