Help me pick an ashtray...

I'm looking for a car ashtray.
Either the Xicar https://www.xikar.com/products/acces...etal-ashtrays/
or the Stinky http://www.canadahumidor.com/stinky_..._auto_ashtray/
Unless someone has any other suggestions
I need a proper can for in my next car, current beater is going on the the big demo derby in the sky shortly...:r

I have the Xikar and really like it but I can see where the cigar holder on the Stinky would be handy

Re: Help me pick an ashtray...

I have been eying the stinky. My only concern has been if it would tip backwards due to the weight of lid/cigar holder. If my cup holder is not deep enough.

The stinky rips the wrapper, and the Xikar rattles and vibrations drive me crazy!

Cigar Bobken FTW!!

Re: Help me pick an ashtray...

I have both and I would give the Stinky the edge. After your cigar has burned down a bit (so that it is shorter than the distance between the ring on the top and the grate on the bottom) the Xikar is useless as your cigar just falls in, is hard to get to and can get damaged.

As Dom said, the Bobken is the best of the three.

Re: Help me pick an ashtray...

i like the car stinky, it rattles a little and doesn't hold certain sized cigars well, but overall I'm happy about how it closes up and kills all the stink, used to have a basic bobken-esque ashtray which worked fine, but it gets ugly and smelly quick with some ash buildup. maybe I just didn't clean mine enough

Re: Help me pick an ashtray...

Wife votes for Xikar. I prefer Bobken. I don't handle the spring thing well in the Xikar. I much prefer the horizontal rest. However, the wife likes that the Xikar seals up well and I admit that her car does smell better.

Re: Help me pick an ashtray...

The BEST ashtray I have seen ( but never had) was the homemade one's by a guy named "down under" from old board.....

They looked so nice it would be a shame to use it as an ashtray...
ok I'm done

Peter's grandson? No, Abe is too old. Maybe his great-great-grandson.

Not designed by Xikar. I actually know the guys that sold the design to them. I think it is a nice car ashtray. Downside is how you rest the cigar in there. Xikar or bobken is the only two options IMO
