anyone know of any coka-cola flavored pipe tobacco out there?

I was thinking of buying some unflavored and trying to infuse it too, any suggestions on infusing?

thanks guys!

Why would you want to do this? I'm a big fan of coke, as my sams club membership would show, yet I can't think that trying to smoke something that tastes like it would be enjoyable. I'm not one for flavored cigars or backy so maybe I'm biased. If it's something you want to try go for it, I'd say burly maybe your best bet for this to work

I have no idea how to do this but it is an idea whose time has come. Put me down for an ounce.

I am no fan of aromatics but I fell in love with Old Virginia's coffee flavored burley (Gettysburg) and Grand Marnier flavored burley (Manassas). Why not Coke?

I'd start with 40% Carter Hall and 60% Mcclelland 5100. Good luck from there unless someone else (e.g., someone who knows what they're talking about) has a better idea.

cola flavored snuff is wonderful stuff. Dunno about the baccy, but would try it to see if it was enjoyable as the snuff.

I would think the best way to go is get some cola syrup like the restaurants use. Basically, you just mix the syrup into the tobacco and let it dry. That's how the blenders do it. A cavendish may work well as well as a burley for a base tobacco.

I'm not a pro but I believe you just lay out the tobacco on a tray, pour the syrup on it, mix it with your hands, and let it dry. You can put it in the oven for a few minutes if you want to stove it.

i see you live up north indy...My grandparents live about 5mins away from the South Bend airport!

...how much baccy should i buy/use in the mixture? and how much syrup would you use? you probably just wanna use enough so that it just sort of "glazes it"?? not too thick probly im guessing...thanks for all the help

I would seriously think about diluting it. Sugar preserves the tobacco (virtually all casings have some form of sugar in them), but too much will make the tobacco unsmokable (way too sweet - it's why companies like McClelland's don't just pour vanilla extract into their vanilla 'baccys), and also make it burn too hot, making for some wicked bite.

If you decide to stove it, go with the lowest temp, and make sure you mix it constantly (I'd go no more than 5 minutes without mixing).

Re: Coke-Flavored Pipe Tobacco????

When using rum or whiskey as flavoring, I start with tobacco that is ready to smoke (not to dry or moist), place it in a large bowl, weigh it then leave it out to dry for about an hour or two before weighing it again.

With the bowl of tobacco on the scale, apply the flavoring with a spray bottle, a couple sprays then mix well, continue spraying and mixing until the tobacco is back at the starting weight.

It takes some time so go slow. Smoke a small amount after mixing in the flavoring, seal it in Mason jar and wait a week before smoking it again. If you want more flavor, weigh it, dry it, spray it, mix it, and then wait. Best of luck.

If you get thirsty, you can always spray some in your mouth, right? :r

Alright, heres what i did:

i bought a pound each of 3 different pipe blends and i am planning on trying to infuse the blends with coka-cola.

Dont know if itll work but it sounded like a fun little project...i will be using three controls (the 3 blends) and 2 different infusing methods per blend, leaving me with a total of 6 different combos to try and find the best tasting one!

You're moving fast. It's time to name this blend without stomping on the Coke(r) trademark.

Latakola?

very interesting...im sure that ill have to do it several times, different ways to find out the best taste...i made a spreadsheet today for comments and observations on each blend...might light some up tonight...

still thinking of a name for it tho
