Saturday Night Wine Fest Pic's

Just a little impromptu get together with two friends. Haven't had a big wine night a few weeks.

Pictured Left to Right:

1990 Dujac Charmes Chambertin
1935 Taylor Vintage Port
1945 Sandeman Vintage Port
1970 Palmer
1980 Grahams Vintage Port
1962 Grahams Malvedos Vintage Port

All wines showed spectacular with the '35 Taylor being one of the highest rated ports I have had to date, along with being probably the best port I have had this year. Each wine/port could've been an event on its own, but for 3 people, we had a good evening! Of course we finished them all...

As for cigars, we started out with Montecristo A's from '02 in the coffin. One of the best A's I've had in a while. Next was Sir Winston's, followed by RJ Short Churchill's. Must say, the Short Churchill is quite a cigar! Really does taste like the full sized Churchill in a friendlier format.

My friend that hosted, made a pulled pork on his Weber "bullet". Oddly enough, the pulled pork and ribs put a bigger hurting on them than the booze and cigars. Usually, I am the first one to throw in the towel, but I was pro last night. They crashed out around 11:30... My girlfriend and dog came by around 8:00 to enjoy the BBQ. My dog was quite attentive in the kitchen, lol...

I was expecting a past midnight event at a minimum, not being in bed shortly after midnight with so much booze already consumed. I feel winded from the cigars more than hung over. Over 20" of cigar each is no easy task either.
