Inspired by my trip yesterday to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx NY
 

My brother got married on Sunday so Monday, all the cousins who flew in from out of town went into the Bronx to Arthur Ave. we saw my great great grandfathers old bakery on Hughes Ave, ate at Giovanni's, went and got clams at Umbertos, ice at DeLilos and then to Casa Della Mozzarella. My wife was unable to come so tonight I took some of the ingredients I got there and made her an Arthur Ave inspired dinner. Scarole and beans to start then Fresh Mozzarella, tomato and basil salad, homemade roasted peppers, sliced radish, hot cracked Sicilian olives and some grilled artichokes with a garlic dipping sauce. It was excellent.
