In your opinion, what's the most over & under hyped cigar brand/line?
 

At the moment whether it is by social media, forums, publications, word of mouth, advertising et al.

Let's take out personal views on the taste, performance or similar for giggles.

I think the Genesis line gets well deserved credit, on here at least. I'm not sure about other sites, or forums.

Overhyped: Ashton (Just isn't for me I guess. Don't get the hype)
Underhyped: I don't think Nicks Stick's get enough credit for delicious super cheap smokes.

Overhyped: Tatuaje (not they don't have some good lines, just over the top hype).

Underhyped: Esencia ... good stuff, Maynard.

Overhyped: Cubans (but that's just my take)

Underhyped: RoMa Craft Tobac (they make some amazing cigars)

Overhyped: Montecristo NC's. Not that they get a ton of hype but the name IS the hype. I haven't had too many that I've really enjoyed.

Underhyped: Gispert Maduros........:dr

The Genesis here I agree gets it's deserved credit here but on a few other forums and "review sites" it's hardly, if ever mentioned.

The Ashton remark Brian, are you basing that off of personal experience with the brand hence the "Just isn't for me?" statement? Just curious.

I've had several people at my local B&M ask about the Genesis when I smoke them there. Not too many people are familiar with them, unless they frequent CI sites

i have only two online retailers for them

My thoughts were the same Tony.

My thoughts are also the same Jason however they would be at least, at least double in price here in MN with the new tax laws that went in on July 1.

I'm with Mac. Cubans are overhyped. Gimme my maduros. Underhyped......definitely Romacrafts. But I'm glad they are that way. Excellent quality boutique smokes.

Overhyped: While I love a Tat as much as the next guy... they are my overhyped
Underhyped: Nearly anything from the House of Emilio... AF1 AF2 both knockout sticks
