Xikar Travel Humi Reviews?

The time has come :D The reason I'm looking at these is they have the size I want; 50-80 count and cheap. Just wondering who has them (Xikars travel humis in general), assuming all sizes are of similar build quality, just looking for opinions.

Also, I like the foam trays, very long and wide, which should accomadate a wide variety of sizes and hold two small cigars in one slot. I want to be able to take large sticks Sublime Extras to small Ninfas.

Thanks for any input. :tu

What's a zero?

I have the 10 count. Since I smoke 60RG logs for the most part, it doesn't hold 10. More like a well-padded 6. But, I have no complaints so far.

I have a ten count that is working great. I did find out the hard way that it vacuums itself shut when it gets on the airplane though.

Had mine seal shut on an airplane. I believe the larger ones have a release valve though so no worries.

All travel humidors vacuum shut during flight due to the altitude (mine also did it when I drove from Denver up skiing).

The larger units have a pressure release knob on the front (just make sure to keep the valve closed all the time, especially prior to travel).

The smaller ones have a small notch on the front to pry open with a coin

I hope this helps

ps - the Xikar models have a hole in the lid foam that accommodates a Puck-ifier 100 perfectly where as the Cigar Caddy does not

That is what happened to me. I got into Korea and found that the humidor wouldn't open ... about 45 minutes later and thankful for a solid metal spoon in the room, I was able to get it opened. Good news is though that the cigars were in tip top shape.
