Cigars on TV

We finally have another cigar smoking main character of a weekly crime show. The new show is FOX's "Backstrom" In todays extreme Anti smoking culture its great to see cigars out in the open again.

I have already emailed many of the sponsors of the show to express my support in hopes that it might survive. My wife and I happened to enjoy the show. I will support almost any show that is wiling to show cigar smoking.

If there are any other TV shows out there that you see that has regular cigar smoking in it please let us know.

Re: Cigars on TV

The Sopranos
Boardwalk Empire
Sons of Anarchy

All cancelled for rampant cigar smoking! There is no hope for "Backstrom" either, it too will be cancelled because of cigar smoking after 7 or 8 seasons.....

:D

Columbo
The Addams Family - Gomez had a special coat so that he could pull a lit cigar out of the pocket and just start smoking.

All cancelled because of cigar smoking. It's a conspiracy.

I don't have a cable, so A Team is still on the antenna broadcast, along with Matlock and Rockford Files...

I'm liking Backstrom so far. Sort of like Dr. House and Lt. Columbo had a three-way love child with a homeless guy.

Been watching a Baa Baa Black Sheep/Black Sheep Squadron (mid-run name change) for two days, so dug up this old thread to note cigars play nearly the same significant role as does cheap scotch on the show.
