Johnny Winter Dead At 70
We have lost a blues legend, as Texan guitarist and singer Johnny Winter died in Zurich yesterday.
I need to listen to some of his blues now, since I decidedly am blue. Rest in peace. |

I have to dig through my old photos a see if I can find pics I took in a real small club he played at in the early 80s. Best show I can barely remember.

The whitest bluesman is gone.
Thanks for the tunes. You will be missed. I cranked up a collection of Johnny Winter tonight after work to go with a 601 Blue. |

"Frankenstein" was by Johnny's bro Edgar (Edgar Winter Group) with unique carried keyboard riff. Sadly, another legend passes. :( |

Still sounded amazing when I saw him in a tiny hall in March. My pics here: http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showpo...postcount=3580

My first Johnny Winter's concert was in 1971 and I saw him last February at Ramshead in Annapolis. He will be missed, RIP Johnny.
