Very true! I don't miss having to take a shower after taking the dog for a ten minute walk in July.

Have you ever read The Road? or seen the movie version? Basically thats what Florida winters are like so PLEASE never movie down here! It's for your own safety and ours. Plus we hate when snow birds come down only to drive 5 mph UNDER the speed limit in the left hand lane. :fl

Hahaha that would be my parents!! PA drivers are well known for driving under the speed limit in the left lane, they have a house in KW, they're there from Oct-May, come here for the holidays and summer.

Believe it or not but I love the cold and snow Gabe. I grew up traveling to Virginia every year around thanksgiving to see the grandparents. I get high with the crisp air, wood stoves, and burning leaves that come along with autumn. In fact, on those rare occasions when it gets into the 20's down here it's the best sleep i get all year just being bundled in a billion blankets keeping warm. I really do love it but thanks to MANY surgeries I just can't handle it long term. Whenever I go see my brother in Colorado I always plan it in autumn or winter. That all being said I will NEVER complain about the beautiful weather Florida gets this time of year. It makes smoking a cigar on a night like tonight that much more enjoyable.

A Boli PC tonight btw :ss

Finding a house won't be a problem down here. We have almost as many houses for sale as slow snow bird drivers which is a sh$t ton of them

I hope it stays that way for a few years. That's where my wife and I are most likely heading after she wraps up her Air Force career.

I love calling friends and relatives early a.m. When still drowsy and telling them how cold it is this morning.
When they ask further about it, I say not here in South Florida, I am referring to how cold it is this morning where they are based on the NY morning shows being aired.:r
Amazing how I get them every year with it.

LOL! Carlos i do the same thing! I have an aunt and uncle that live in upstate NY (they used to own and run a dairy farm but have switched to high end maple syrup) and every time it snows i call to check on them only baiting them into the "the weather is amazing here" conversation. :)

Lucked out here. My part of KY is experiencing an unseasonable warm spell, in the 60's the next few days, may even reach low 70's on Saturday, and I fully intend to take advantage of it!

Since the roads here are covered in ice and it's pouring the snow, I'll just leave this for all you Floridians. :fu2

Just remember to wear layers and stay warm. We don't usually have to use the heater down here so remember not to set it too warm. Fortunately I don't work tomorrow :D so be careful on those roads!

Also remember the sun tan lotion :)

The hardships we must endure! It's sad days in Floida when we have to put the top up on our convertibles! ;)

What's truly sad is we are toying with the truth.
I went outside this morning in my shorts, t shirt, no socks or shoes, to put out some recycle bottles.
While not even remotely close, it felt like winter in NJ.
It was cold.

Amazing how our blood thins.
