MUWAT- Digital Son 6 : 6th Edition

Just heard about a new MUWAT coming out called Digital Son 6, a 5 x 42 Corona format of the very well known MUWAT line...

Discuss... :banger

Re: MUWAT- Digital Son 6 : 6th Edition

That's where I don't know...

I liked the Baitfish but I thought it would be a little more of a kick in the pants... Perhaps that is where this format will take us? IDK...

I do know that people seemed to love the other formats... and as the info I read said it was an exclusive something or other... I thought I'd throw it out there so the sharks can get their fill... :tu

Just read that it's going to be similar to the baitfish but with a different filler. Apparently the goofy ass name has something to do with JD's love for RZA from the Wu Tang Clan.

You could always check the "speculative sheet" to find out all you need to know.

Actually looking forward to this one. Not a big fan of the 60 ring gauge cigars but the Muwat was enjoyable in that vitola and if it's the same blend should be even better in a corona size.

Yea Craig? well now that a member has vouched for the establishment those concerns are laid to rest... :tu

Guess I'll grab a bundle as well... :lr

and honestly it was less of a concern about receiving the product as it was more a concern of shipping quality... When I was a noob, I ordered a lot from Thompson's, ordered great sticks that tasted horrible... Left a bad taste in my mouth both literally and figuratively that makes me want to double check the reputations of the establishments I order from... As said before, Thanks for laying those concerns to rest...

So back to topic... New vitola, Yay or Nay?

I'm super intrigued, and I'm tempted to purchase the 10 pack of 'em.. Although, I look at these as most likely going to be regular production. So, I won't pull the trigger right now -- I'll wait until the income tax comes in. ;)

If I pick up two bundles and if I can get my stuff together here at work I will try and send out a few singles for some of you fellas. I got a daughters birthday coming up and not sure how much I am going to have to spend but we will see on Friday...

Re: MUWAT- Digital Son 6 : 6th Edition

I smoked the test blend and a few of the production sticks so far. The test blend started great but fell flat about mid way which I did not experience with the regular production sticks as they were consistent all the way through which I think the test blend just needed more age. JD will be here in Charlotte for the launch tomorrow night (1/25). Right now it is a retailer exclusive. As far as the stick goes it is currently the strongest MUWAT to date and sits around the medium to full range. Great flavor and great aroma. I held back reviewing it after smoking the test blend due to it falling flat and I didn't want to beat up a stick that clearly needed to age a little longer. If you guys like Baitfish you will love the Digital Son especially if you smoke the Baitfish wishing it had a little more oomph and the size is great!

Really small world... I am at work tonight driving the shuttle and a bachelor party of 8 or more guys from Charlotte come in... They are my age and on the ride over they start talking about their night last night...

They were all partying at Outland cigars where they have a locker they said and were at the Drew Estates event... But it gets better then that...

One of the guys was a musician that apparently has worked for/ traveled with/ and is friends with JD himself... His name is Aswan... Apparently a musician of the band Paper Tongues... Well he and JD made some sort of video on YouTube I haven't seen yet...

This sounded almost too good to be true... But then he showed me the apple iWatch JD gave him the night before... This was independently confirmed on 2 different shuttle rides back from the casino... What a generous guy...

So Aswan gets out of the shuttle as I am telling him all the DE products I love... And then he says "write your name and that site (CA) that your talking about down on a card and ill check it out and tell JD about you..."

I did of course... :D if I hear from JD you guys will definitely know!!! At the very least its a cool story I thought and goes to show apparently how small the world really is...

Yeah, the Paper Tongues are good friends with the owner of Outland. It was a good event and the turn out was strong given the weather. Only a handful of guys can pull get guys to drive out in ice to attend an event, JD being one of them. I got to meet Craig at the event too. It was a good time for sure.

I had the opportunity to try one last week. I thoroughly enjoyed it. IMO not quite as peppery as the Baitfish but more kick than the core MUWAT 60rg line. Very enjoyable. :)

Great event! Good to meet John and hang with him for a little bit. Sorry for the delay in following up, I had to leave for a show in Atlanta the next day and just got back in last night. On top of everything else I have been sick as a dog so I haven't got to burn one yet.

Here is a bad photo of most of the MUWAT line up for those who are interested.
http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/...er/uzisize.jpg

Left to right: 6X60, +11, digital son 6, 5X60, and the baitfish.

I bought 20 of the DS6 so as soon as I figure out a cheap way to send one little cigar I will create a new thread for sending some out to those botls who want to try one. I have jacked this thread enough.
