Do you know who the first choice for Wolverine was? Yep, the one and only Glenn Danzig. He was the perfect size and already had the happnin sideburns and he knows the character in and out as he has always been an avid comicbook collector and Wolverine was always his favorite. He had other commitments in Europe and couldn't shoot when they needed. Jackman plays the part very well though. Wolverine's origin is quite interesting, for sure.

Although I am looking forward to seeing Gambit in a Marvel movie finally I am more looking forward to seeing Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool/Wade Wilson.

He was busy in Europe sucking. I'm glad he did not ruin the Wolverine character with his crappy Pre-Madonna attitude, I'd hate to have seen the X-Men cast break up because they could not put up with Danzig, just like with the Misfits. :2

looking forward to this as well. I used to be an avid comic collector and have a couple copies of wolverine #1 as well as the full Origin series.

Wolvie has always been my co-fav along with Spidey

I love all the x-men movies. Jackman plays an awesome wolverine also. Fits the role perfectly IMO. I can't wait for gambit to be in here. there are still a lot of things they need to cover in the x-men stories!

Man, ever since Blade III, Ryan Reynolds got absolutely JACKED. Dude is huge.

On another note, this movie is going to be bad ass for sure.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine

i've been a long time fan of xmen and can't wait for the movie to come out.

BUT I must admit to being a little concerned. there has been a lot of fighting between the director and the studio, aprently because the studio is micromanaginf too much and not giving the director ANY artistic freedom. if true, it could spell disaster for the movie.... and I seriously hope that doesn't happen!!

im with you on glenn playing the part. maybe he would show up for shooting and jerry, doyle and robo will show up as well. they would than egg on michael graves to come through and start a fist fight with glenn. glenn would turn into wolverine and wipe the floor with graves.
:tu
(oh the entire fight soundtrack would include london dungeon, nike a go go and she)

(bet you'd never guess i got down like dat, huh? lol)

I think the only concern is that Jackman is about a foot taller than wolverine is supposed to be. But fancy camera work does away with most of those issues pretty well

I can't wait for this I used to be a huge comic book collector. My two favorite X-men were always Wolverine and Gambit. I hope this turns out alright.

That's a great trailer. I always enjoyed Wolverine as a comic reader and his origin is a pretty great story.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine

yea I saw it Friday. I liked it, but I thought the computer animation on his adamantium claws looked like crap in this movie. They look real in every other x-men movie. I was very upset when I saw how fake they looked in this one. Very good movie otherwise though. Gives you a lot of background on Wolvie and Sabertooth.

Thought the claws looked bad too. Very awesome fight sequences, but the plot was lacking. Good action movie, but not a great film. I liked it much better than X-Men 3.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I liked it, but not as much as the first ones - I am very interested however in the next one, which should flush out the plotlines that I'm really interested in - Magneto!

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I saw this today. I liked it, it was not as EPIC as I had assumed based off the previews, but I'm glad I watched it. I thought the claws looked a little bad as well, but eh that's CGI for you -- it cannot always look perfect.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I thought it was pretty damned good. Went to see it with my GF on Sunday for something to do in the rain... Were chatting and I discovered that she had not yet seen the other three xmen movies yet, so watched the first one when we got home. Just not even close to the same level of intensity as in this one. I really enjoyed it, and Jackman actually looked like the animal Wolverine is supposed to be.

Saw it this past weekend. Pretty good movie. Guess I was expecting a little more. Great actions. One thing that did aggravate me was the Green Screen scenes. They were HORRIBLE. It may have been some of the worst Green Screen work I had seen in very long time :2

I watched a stream last night with incomplete CGI. I thought it was a snoozer. Much preferred the other X-Men movies.
