Stacking cigars in humidor

Is it ok to stack a bunch of different cigars on top of each other in a humidor? I am worried that the different blends of tobacco might affect the taste of each cigar by absorbing some of the flavors from the others. Thanks,
Jon

As long as they aren't infused (Acids, etc), the sticks will be fine.

Yeah that's the only concern I would have. Long term, they can start to lose their shape as well.

Like the other guys posted above, you will be fine... I have had mixed singles sitting in trays for several years with no noticeable flavor exchange.

all is well

hard to keep any volume if you only do a single layer

:tpd:

As long as there are no flavored or infused sticks in the humidor it should be fine.

In case no one mentioned it, you should be good as long as there are no infused cigars in there.

be sure not to add flavored sticks or infused sticks in the humidor and you wont have a problem stacking them

Should they be stored with or without the cello?

What about the flavor-infused cigars? Cello or no?

Just remember that if they have Southern Hemisphere tobacco, the foot has to face the opposite way.

Keep the cello half way on so you're good no matter what the right answer is.

I disagree Sam, I think you should take the cello half way off...

I like to take the middle of the cello off. I liken it to a hot chick wearing a cropped top and hip huggers. :r

What about cigars going through a sick period? How negatively can they effect nearby cigars in a small space?

I've had sick cigars in a humi with smokes that are not sick and I just open the humi every now and then and they have all been fine.

I noticed none have mentioned this, but as long as it is not ACID infused you should be good.
