OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
But WOW, I just went to a Sonic for the first time late last week, and I've went there every day since for lunch at work. I'm kind of addicted to the Super Sonic Cheesburger! :banger

Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
Sonic is pretty good stuff. We've had the pleasure of eating Sonic for many years down here in OK.

Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
There's only one Sonic in this state. I've never been there as it's no where near where I live.

Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
I wish we had a Sonic locally.

Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
The first Sonic to open in MI was in my city, about 2 miles away. You'd have thunk they were giving the food away for the first couple of weeks. Car's lined up 20 deep waiting to get a spot.
I do loves me some tater tots though. :tu |
Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
I hardly ever go there, but I like it when I do. the footlong chilidog is good.:tu

Sonic=good stuff. I missed them while in California. Now that I'm in Japan they were all but a distant memory...thanks for bringing it back up.

Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
A Tex Mex Footlong Coney, onion rings, and a large Dr. Pepper is heaven on earth. Don't know if they have that up north, but it sure does give me one more reason to love Texas! Down here it seems like we have as many sonics as gas stations, they are on nearly every corner, especially in smaller towns.

I like that, at least at the ones here, you can get breakfast all day.

Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
On a hot day it is hard to be a Strawberry-Lime Slush!

Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
Bastards. Now you have me thinking of Sonic. Did I mention it's 7:30? holes.
Not much of a breakfast eater, so I guess it's a lunch thing. Never had the SSC before, I stick with plain No.1s. But today, I will get a SSC and a foot long Coney. I liked the one in Meridian, MS when I lived there...it had a drive through, which few of them have. Made it better for me...all the good, none of the park. |
Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
OLS our Sonic has a drive thru and then the pull up stations. There is no dining room, do any have a place to sit and eat?
|
Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
Fullerton, Ca had the skaters a few years back. I don't know these days. Good eats for sure.

Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
Sonic food is crap IMO. Their drinks are off the hook though!
|
Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
Mama and I like Sonic.
|
Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
They DO have good drinks, especially at their happy hour.
|
Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
Holy Cow...what planet do ya'll live on...there's practically one on every block here in CO
|
Re: OK, Some May Not Consider This A "Good Eat"
Back in Texas we had a restaurant style sonic that had no drive thru. It was more of a burger joint but you walked up and ordered your food then had to go get it. It was really good but the rent kept rising and rising and there was a parking shortage due to the new stores around so it closed. :( It makes me sad just thinking that it is gone now. Only one like it that I have ever seen or heard about.

Their drinks are good, but for a burger Whataburger is the place to go.

there's one on every block here, the food I don't care for but will have the footlong cheese coney and o-rings if I gotta go.
One of the three on our town of 25k has dining indoors (if you can call it dining) with about 12 booths and phones for ordering in each |

+1 on the Whataburger.
But, as for Sonic, a Rt. 44 Dr Pepper and chili cheese tater tots FTW. |
