Lord give me strength

My mother in law, her husband and 3 dogs just now showed up on my door step to stay with us for an undetermined time while they look for a house to buy and move into. Kind of a "Cousin Eddy" sort of situation.
Please pray for me!:r

I thought about that Larry, but didn't want to take away from those who truly need them. For me it's more of a sanity check Bro!:r

Praying the liquor cabinet holds up for you, Kev. ;)

Re: Lord give me strength

Update: They have only been here for 2 hours and already 1 of our "guests" has peed on the front entry rug!
I have to remind myself to be a gracious host for the first 2 weeks, but after that I fear this may turn into a "Thunder Dome" situation!:r

Thanks Tim! I stocked it pretty well knowing they were on their way, though I pray a blizzard does not come and sock us in over 4 days, as I only have a dozen bottles in there!

God Bless!!!

After 72 hours, they will be stinking like old rotting fish left out for days with no refrigeration. It's a fact. The 72 hour rule is real.

After a week, you will wonder if there are ways to get away with murder.

I truly feel for you.

Seriously, if the dogs are not house broken, kick them outside. Best of luck with your Christmas holiday.

Carlo's, I am doomed!

I'm gonna have to start watching Court TV again, or as I like to call it, "The DIY Channel".

I truly feel for you.

Kevin, my advice is to retire to the mancave. 2 strong drinks and a nice CC. Double corona or churchill (something that lasts a long time). Ready set go!

Yikes!

I hope there is a man cave somewhere that can be locked from the inside.

Oh crap. I could never do that....even when we DID talk to her......10 years ago. :r

I suggest taking up an away from home hobby.

Kevin.....please promise to live by my code for as long as they stay:

"I'll become homicidal long before I'll become suicidal."

Good luck, My Brother....if you come to Chicago for a weekend, let me know, I got a spare room.

You may not think this is a prayer thing, but I will keep you in my prayers anyway. Anytime family lives together for an extended period, no matter how well they get along, it can be stressful.

God's blessings upon you all, I will keep you in my prayers for strength and peace.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

Don't forget Jersey. Maybe it smells a little and can be dirty and downright nasty in other sections but honestly, it's PARADISE in comparison to the situation your in!:tu

End of the day update: As far as I can tell, the only other things the dogs peed on were my boots and tennis shoes, I kept a civil tongue in my mouth and I only mildly PO'ed my wife. I am now enjoying a Hydrocodone (For my back) a glass of wine and an 07 HU Regalias. Life is good :ss
Thank you all for the positive and very funny thoughts, and please stay tuned for day 2 updates! :r

Just keep the homicide/suicide principle in mind until we meet again....or at least until your MIL's cats accidently get lost outside. :r

Lord, Grant me the serenity to
accept the things I cannot change,
Courage, to change the things I can, and
Wisdom to hide the bodies of those people
I had to kill because they pissed me off.

And also,
Help me to be careful of the toes I step on today,
As they may be connected to the ass that I may
have to kiss tomorrow.

BTW, I told my wife that the next time those dogs pissed on my boots, I'd leave em outside until they looked like Jack Nicholson did at the end of the Shining!:r

For what it's worth, there was only one dog in "The Shining", and he was a very bad boy.

Day 2 update: All quiet on the western front. I dreamed about garbage trucks falling over last night. NEVER had that happen before. Anyone with psych 101 or higher (or Dave;)) can chime in here as I suspect it has something to do with my in-laws.:r

My MIL just took out a small table in our upstairs hall way that had an antique industrial glass piece on it. She "forgot" to turn the light on. And so it starts.:hn
