feeling the love

I just wanted to say some things about this place. Most of them have probably been said before, but here goes.

I seriously love this place and the people who make it what it is. I have just returned from Epic 3, and had some great times with some great folks. This forum is so much more than a forum, as you all know. I met a guy for the first time there, and he isn't even a member here (hope he is soon) but his brother is. He told me if we ever pass through his state, that we were welcome to come and stay a couple days. Now I know there are lots of people who make those kind of statements and don't really mean them, but I believe wholeheartadly that this is the real deal and he would be glad if we took him up on it. I have made those same kind of statements to brothers here and mean it as well. If any of my friends here were to ever be in my neck of the woods and need me, I wouldn't hesitate to do whatever I could to lend whatever hand that you might need at the time. I had a brother here offer a place to stay last year when my wife and I were trying to beat the clock and get to a relative before they died. I asked for a yard or drive way to park in to get a nap if my stength ran out on the way cause it was a 20 hour drive. The brother told me that he had a bedroom we could crash in if needed. Mind you I have never met this brother before face to face, but he was willing to help in a time of need and I will never forget that as long as I live. I made it all the way without having to stop, but that's really beside the point. We come from all kinds of different backgrounds, all age ranges, and all over the country, yet we are all willing to go the extra mile when we need to to help a fellow out when needed.

That is a special thing, and I just wanted to say I appreciate every one of you that are here. If I can be of any help at all, please dont ever hesitate to let me know. I am reminded of the Bible where it says this:

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.

Yall do this whether you realize it or not and it's a great thing we have here.

To quote a good friend, "I came for the cigars...I stayed for the people".

This is a wonderful community filled with some of the best people I have ever had the pleasure to know, both virtually and in person.

Mark: Hug, Gary, and Kleenex should rarely be used in the same conversation.

Greg I couldn't agree more. This place is much more than cigars and although I've never met any of you face to face I still consider you all brothers.

That quote is so true, Admiral. I don't even talk about cigars much anymore. I'm here for the friends I've made (and I've still yet to make it to a herf with anyone here).:tu
