Welp, I went and bought a ring.
 

I'm going to ask Lisa to marry me this week.
We've already talked about it, and we've even talked to the kids about it. She's just been waiting patiently for me to pull my head out of my ass and man up.
I'm still scared to death, but I've finally come to peace with all that there is to come to peace with. Pretty much. :)

I love this woman like none other, and she feels the same about me. We think alike, laugh alike, and love alike. All under God.
We're thrilled about the thought of growing old together, and enjoying our one life.
Prayers that I don't lose my nerve, k guys? :D

Sounds awesome. Just make it as cheesy as possible, so when someone asks how you proposed, she either has to lie, or be completely embarrassed.... All in good fun, of course. ;)

That's exactly what I was thinking, Pete.
I have a good idea based on the stuff we like to do together. I think it'll work out real well. We love our simple pleasures, so I thought I'd combine a few and see if I can manage not to screw it up.

Dan, I don't think there's ever been two people that are happier.
She is an absolutely amazing woman from every single direction. I still look at her with cow eyes when she isn't looking. I was waiting to see if that'd go away after awhile, just to see if I was just in love with being in love. It's not wavered a bit. It's just gotten worse. :D
