I couldn't resist. I've never tried one but I do know that I've never smoked a bad stogie made by Oliva.

Re: flor de oliva

reason I ask is because I am looking for a go to bundled smoke that I wont cry over pitching halfway through

Don't think I have ever smoked one (can't remember, maybe in those early years). But I would like to know what responses you get on this thread. :ss

Yes I have an opinion on them. I like the maduro robusto.

Re: flor de oliva

I like the corojo bundles, the maduros not so much I don't like walking around with brown lips. I'm not sure if that was an isolated incident cause I was extra slobbery or what, but my lips were brown afterward.

Re: flor de oliva

I have had a good experience with the with the maduros so far. I picked one up at the B&M, and then proceeded to grab a bundle online. I have not tried the other wrappers but I wouldn't hesitate ... just need some more space in the cooler before I pick some up.

Been smokin Flor de Oliva 8 x 52 bundles (2- 3 a month ) for as long as I can remember. Can't beat them for $39 ea. I will continue to get them as long as I can. Med - full, lots of flavor, great construction. In the winter I cut them in half for 2 Roths and use a holder for 1 half.

The Corojo bundles are my go to cheap cigar and do not taste like a cheap cigar.

Fantastic bargain

On the Churchill maduros, I seldom enjoy the first inch but after that they are just fine. I've had several singles of most if not all the others and like them as well. A very good bundle bargain deal.

Quite good. I prefer the maduro or corojo. Also, be sure to check out GR Specials Red Label. :tu

They are pretty darn good. I buy these to give out to my friends who don't smoke cigars. Oliva makes a great product.

Good everyday smoke. I usually have a bundle laying around the humi. Nice for when I'm not sure if I have enough time to finish a stick.

As someone else said, I don't think that I've had a "bad" Olivia brand.

:tpd::tpd::tpd:

The Flor De Oliva normal blend has an Indonesian wrapper that detracts from the rest of the blend IMO. Spend the extra $5 - $10 per bundle to get the maduro or corojo wrapper. As NCRM said the GR Specials are a great cigar in the same price range..

I've smoked all four varieties and enjoy them. The Natural has a sweetened cap which you may or may not care for.

Not too long ago I did a blind review in my local smoke shop of the Gold (Connecticut), you can take a look at it here (off-site link)

I also recorded a Corojo review while I was there but haven't had time to edit the footage just yet.

Smoked the Flor de Oliva Torpedo today. Nice tipical mild vanilla with a little pepper. A bit flat but for that cheap smoke it doens't matter.
