You know it's a good cigar when...
You go to your Stinky the next day, grab the nub out and re-light that bastard just to get one more puff from it. And burn your fingers in the process. But man is it worth it. I did that very thing to a nub from a Camacho Triple Maddie that I got from emjaysmash in a blind taste test because I knew I wouldn't be getting any more of these for some time. What a sweet puff it was brothers! :D

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
The humidity here in Missouri kept it from drying out so it was smokeable Peter! Come on, you've never done this? Am I alone in this brothers?

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
That. Is. ****ing. Disgusting. :2

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
+1 on the :pu
I love it when a cigar is so good it stops all conversation. |
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
Sorry Kev, no help here. :r
|
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
I have sat down to eat, and relit the cigar after the meal.
Otherwise, all nubs get thrown in the field. They never sit in an ashtray or anything. |
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
Kev, I'm glad you enjoyed the cigar....
...but thats gross! :r If that one wasn't the last Triple maddy in my humi, I'd send you more! |

Its a good cigar if you burn your fingers nubing it, but not relighting lit. |
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
That's just country. :2

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
I just retched in my mouth a little.
Good cigars give good buzzes |
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
My guess is you're on your own with this one brother... nasty...

I guess the term "smokeable" is relative. Smoke what you like. Like what you smoke. :) Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
I have heard of people enjoying the cigar to much they'll let the nub go out and crunch it up to smoke in a Cobb pipe...but thats not the day after. lol Maybe invest in a cheap cob?

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...

Damn boys! Roast me over the coals here! But thats ok, it's not like it's a habit of mine. And to whoever called it country. Well hell yes I'm country. And damn proud of it! -(P

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
Reminds me of the college days. Smoke a doobie before bedtime, then wake up in the morning and smoke the roach. lol.
|
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
I can't image a cigar that has been sitting that long being enjoyable. Usually a cigar that has sat for more than an hour becomes so stale and stinky that it is unsmokeable...
|
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
While I absolutely love these sticks...not sure I could do the retrieve from ashtray thing Kevin. :r :r :r
|
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
Now that's one thought that I can't say has ever crossed my mind.
But it does remind me of an old Roger Miller song. I smoke old stogies I have found, Short but not too big around. I'm a man of means, by no means king of the road. :=: |
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
wow, that's just sick.

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
I guess I must have some issues folks. It was tasty though. Need to refine my palate a little more I guess.:r

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
I tend to think there's about a 30 -60 minute window to relight a cigar, and anything after that is questionable. Going fishing in the Stinky the next day, no way. :td

Tony, I imagine you have a high pain tolerance.

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
Sorry bro, got to agree with the others here. There is no cigar worth smoking the nub out of the ashtray the next day. :2

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
Only thing I've ever done was smoke half a cigar, have something come up cut off the lit part, put it back in the wrapper. Smoke it about 1 maybe 2 hours later. That was once....it was maybe 70% as good...or 60...maybe even 50. But I wasn't about to waste half a cigar.

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
Send us your address and we can take up a nub collection for you at Shack in 10 days! :r
I can let a cigar go for about 15 - 20 minutes and don't mind relighting it, after that though.... :td |
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
I did this. This past weekend, I ran out of time in the evening while smoking my R.A. Belicosos German RE. With about 1/3 of it left, Into the Bobken it went and I fired that thing up the next morning on the first tee.
No regrets, and it was just as good the next morning. |

Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
Was thinking about asking this same question, but on a slightly different level.
While I have never dug a nub out of the ashtray I have smoked a cigar the next day. It was a churchill size smoke that I got 1/3 through and had to put out because something came up. Clipped it off a little ways past the cherry and smoked it the next day while burning wood. I didn't think it was that bad, not the same, but not bad.:2 |
Re: You know it's a good cigar when...
"My nubs are never big enough to relight."
Never knew anyone to smoke a stogie down so far as to need a roach clip. |

Its disturbing that this thread got re-opened.
None the less. Find I smoke that's better than your beat and you'll be nubbing that bastard to death. |
