New Illusiones?
 

It appears Dion Giolito is getting savvy to the limited run phenomenon that seems to be taking hold (or maybe I'm just now catching a clue). Now featured are Holy Lances with candela and maduro wrappers as well as his new Singulare Phantom, a 6X50 "limited release of 1000 boxes total-the Singulare line will feature a different size each year."

I pulled the trigger on a fiver of the Phantoms, and would like to try the hl Maddies bud could not commit right now.

Thoughts?

I'm not diggin the wrapper or the Candela, kinda reminds me of a Phillies Blunt,,,I guess I'm just use to seeing the Dark Rich look of their line.

I'm wondering if the maduro wrapper will push the flavor profile too far beyond what I really like about Illusiones. The candela, on the other hand, well that's just out of the question.

They all look good...but that vino is filling up fast. A month and a half ago, I didn't even OWN a humi. Now I'm chatting about beads, calibrating hygrometers, sending in faulty cutters, discussing the finer points of quality butane and surf cigar websites more often than **** sites. I might have gone a little overboard. :xxx

Dan, may sound odd but here, that's normal. It's what we call the "Slope". Don't worry, you're fine. In good hands over here. Grab another two vinos to hold you over and a couple coolers for overflow.

Unless, your a Illusione devotee, I'd say skip the HL maduro and Phantom. Smoked them both and wasn't overly excited. The HL had a tight draw with unrefined flavor. The Phantom was medium bodied and had only good medium flavor fullness that could not be described as unique. If your into candela give that HL a try probably the best one, though of not very many, I've tried.
