It's that time of year again.

Will the Smokin' Hotties repeat?

I have sent an email to all the participants of the league last year.

You guys get first crack to rejoin. On August 7th, I will open the league to anyone who wants to join to fill the empty spots.

I changed some of the points and positions, so make sure you returning managers look it over.

This is the link to last year's. Same buy in rule applies, but ignore the Yahoo settings.

Post up when you register and for those of you who want on a waiting list, post that up so we can go first come first served if needed.

Ok, seriously Sean, I have to regrettably back out of this year's league. This fall is shaping up to be a torrent of work & home-related activities that are going to restrict my participation. Besides, I gotta give myself a break from the stress of Fantasy Football!

Last season was great fun, and I have to say to all the guys/gals that might participate: Sean does an excellent job as Commissioner. The point system is a blast--and Defensive scoring was very new to me--so every week was a challenge, but one of those "oh, cool!" challenges. :tu Get in on this league if you can; if you love FF, you'll have a good time. Unless you f*k up your draft, like Bao did. :r

If I remember there were at least three leagues in the Asylum last year, I know this because I named my league Asylum 3.:r

Sorry for the delay. Between internet issues and half day in er for kidney stone, haven't been able to check the league.

ok, between the move, and the Sahck last weekend, I've kind of gotten lost in all the addons.:rolleyes:

Please use the following list to post your CA name and your team name. I believe I have one more opening, just want to make sure. I am looking at setting the draft to on in the middle of next week. Keep checking the league page for updates.

Last year was my first using IDPs, and it made me a believer in the format especially the way Sean has the scoring set. Adds a whole 'nuther level to FF.

Somebody made the suggestion to go to a 5 stick buy in. I am ok with that unless there objections.

Hang on to the sticks, we will do like last year and send them to the winner at the end of the season. Worked out fine last year.

BTW, I believe we have our 10 teams!

Looking at next Thursday. Still have one team confirmed but not yet signed up, hoping they get in by tomorrow.

I would not worry about it being before Thursday, and I am looking at doing it late night.


Remember gang, I lock everyone out before the draft so there are no draft squatters. I am hoping we can unlock on Sunday or Monday. stay tuned for further details.

If you make it after 10pm, would you consider moving to Friday rather than Thursday? I missed last year's draft and was hoping to be involved in this one. I'm just one of ten though. What works for the majority is fine with me.

You don't have to anything but pre rank your players. Yahoo will take care of the rest.

I have always liked having individual defensive players, while others thinks that it takes away from the game. Yahoo over the last two years have started to add more and more positions to the game, and I have followed along to try to keep it like an actual team.

More individual players also makes it more challenging to manage.

I get using a few, but there are 10 defensive starters vs. 7 offensive. It just seems a little unbalanced. :2


EDIT: there are 8 offensive starters, forgot about the kicker.

Either way I'm excited about playing!

I tweaked the settings. I added a WR/RB/TE multi position and eliminated 1 each from the CB and S positions. Took the two eliminated positions and made them bench spots, so you now can have 8 guys on the bench.
