I Passed My Praxis II!!! Fully Liscenced Teacher!
 

My results came in on my final Praxis II test and the results are good! I will be a fully certified English teacher for the state of North Carolina in a few days! All my worry and stress is over now! Hopefully my new contract with the school system will come in the mail soon.

I got my "edumakation" in NC from birff until NCSU. Family is still all back there. Congrats! I've been able to communicate (somewhat) with folks here in CA even though they don't speak correctly and have strange political beliefs. :)

Sometimes I type a bit too fast. My brain doesn't have time to keep up.:D;s It's a good thing that I don't put a big emphasis on spelling in my classroom.:)

Congratulations! I hope finding a job down there is easier than it is up here. I am certified to teach Physics and General Science (which is 7th and 8th grade science) but have not been able to get a full time teaching job. Fingers crossed for the upcoming year, but if not I'll be subbing again.

The good news is that I already have a job (have been teaching for three years already). I have been teaching with a temporary license b/c I have a degree in English. I just had to go back to school and take a few education courses and the Praxis II (two separate tests), which is a pain. Now all I am doing is waiting for my contract to be renewed.

Best of luck to you on your job search. I've noticed that more rural areas are always in search of teachers, while urban/suburban areas seem to be getting rid of teachers.
Congrats to your son's GF, Dave.:tu I know people who have taken the Praxis tests multiple times and still have not passed. It is definitely a stress reliever when you pass.
