T110 exploded....
What to do..... The darn USPS crushed a box in a trade... This was the only stick out of 8 other sticks and the only T110 I have yet to try....
Should I .. A) clip at the band and try to smoke this... B) smoke as is... C) give up the fact I will not be able to smoke and enjoy this at all.... http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...s/100_3528.jpg |
Re: T110 exploded....
You have to give it try and smoke it.I would.
|
Re: T110 exploded....
Pics would help. But you have nothing to lose by trying something.

Re: T110 exploded....
I reluctantly sold a fiver of these a while ago and it appears that two of the five "exploded" at the foot. I wonder if it had anything to do with the roll.

Re: T110 exploded....
Clip and smoke, Troy. ;)
|
Re: T110 exploded....
Damn, that sucks.Your best bet would to just smoke it, instead of getting the run around from the USPS.
|
Re: T110 exploded....
Smoke it backwards!!!! ...and maybe upside down if you think it might help :D
|
Re: T110 exploded....
I agree...clip it and torch it!! :tu
|
Re: T110 exploded....
A) or B). What have you got to loose? If you don't want to try it send it to me. I will try about anything once.
|
Re: T110 exploded....
I say clip it and leave the band on it so that it lessens the chance of the wrapper unraveling.
|
Re: T110 exploded....
What eber said. Absolutely smoke that thing.
|
Re: T110 exploded....
I say, just remove the rest of the wrapper near the cap, use cigar glue to hold the remainder down, and smoke that bish! It will make your sinuses explode as well. :pu

Re: T110 exploded....
Clip it. It should smoke fine except for the last half inch where the wrapper is missing.
|
Re: T110 exploded....
Yup, clip and torch!
|
Re: T110 exploded....
use a punch cutter and fire it up.
|
Re: T110 exploded....
My Vote Is - Clip and go! :tu
|
Re: T110 exploded....
Tats brittle thin wrappers strike again. As the others have said clip it and hit it.
|
Re: T110 exploded....
Clip it and smoke it! You have nothing to loose!
|
Re: T110 exploded....
what would you do with it otherwise? throw it out??
|
Re: T110 exploded....
I was the other half that got an exploded T110....I just cut it and smoked it...it looked ugly but smoked ok....still had a great flavor and mine was much worse then yours. After lighting it looked like some put a firecracker in the end of it!
|
Re: T110 exploded....
I would say to try and slowly rip off some of the wrapper so that the cigar becomes somewhat esthetically reasonable and start smoking it. I would not suggest you cut it, but rather use a punch. Let us know what you do, and how your experience goes.

Re: T110 exploded....
Have you let the seller know of the situation? Just a thought. I'd clip it and smoke it...

I'd flip it & smoke it from the foot. I've did it before, it's not too horrible.:D
|
Re: T110 exploded....
I think you need some of SmokinApe's glue :D
http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=26226 Jeremy, I hope you realize I expect a % of anything you sell from me referring your glue :r:r |

Re: T110 exploded....
the T110's are very very thin. I've had some explode in the mail as well.
In fact just this last friday I had two in my traveldor for about 3 hours. it was full, no movement in the box. I pulled both out, went to hand one to jcruz and half the foot was missing it's wrapper. Still smoked well, but they are pretty fragile. |
Re: T110 exploded....
I'm gonna clip it at the band, my use a dab of cigar glue and see if it goes over well.... wish me luck...
|
Re: T110 exploded....
If you haven't smoked it yet, take the wrapper off another cigar and wrap it around the cigar from about where the band is up. Use something different, it will keep the cigar together and you will even get to smoke a little of it with the different wrapper and get to see what it does to the cigar taste.
