lol, I still hang around here a bit, just not as much as I used to.

If you're considering it, make sure to watch the Dark Lord site. If they do the Golden Ticket system again, you'll want to get your tickets. If you can't make it, reselling them shouldn't be a problem, they were going pretty high on Ebay last year.

Alright guys, I'm going to finally make it to Dark Lord Day this year. I've never gone, don't know how it works except reading about the Golden Ticket system. When do these tickets go on sale? How much are they? Finally, I need a group to hang out with, lol. If someone can school the lonely Dark Lord Day Rookie, I think I could handle bringing the cigars for the group. :)

They will announce the day the Golden tickets go on sale. You have to watch the website for that info. They were $10 last year with a portion going to charity. You can only purchase two tickets. With that ticket you can buy 4 bottles at $15 each. This info might change this year but I am going by what happened last year. But if you are not able to get a ticket I still say come. It was a blast last year.

Looking forward to this! Could one of you do me a favor and shoot me a PM when they release the date that tickets are going on sale? I'm going to try and check it as much as I can, but I'm know to get a bit side tracked and forget about things, despite being important, lol. I have Dark Lord Day on the calendar so I can for sure make it, just don't want to make the drive for no dark goodness.

I've had it once in a trade and it was really good...but not good enough for me to travel from VA! LOL!

But according to the people who attend the event, it's more than just about the beer. It's a pilgrimage of beer lovers from around the country who come and trade beers and enjoy the fellowship.

The new site is up but it really doesn't tell you anything. Yes, I have heard that March 17th is the day the Golden Tickets will start selling.

You can only have one ticket per person and that gets you 4 bottles. You have to bring a "friend" to get the other 4.

Last year, and I believe this year as well, it's 2 tickets per person/4 per household. They will determine how many bottles you can buy with each ticket based on the total number of bottles they end up with. Last year it was 4 per ticket.

I gotta say, it's pretty funny. Last year they put it up around 4:30AM, so a lot of people were expecting it to be early morning. A bunch stayed up all night waiting for the announcement. Around 7AM, they were starting to get pissed off, then that tweet comes across...

Honestly, I'm working during the day then busy at night. I'd love to get 2 tickets and go, but in the end, I just don't have time to play the games, which unfortunately is part of the process, lol. If I get em, great. If not, I have a hotel room for Fri and Sat available, lol.
