road trip, advice needed
 

So, here's the story:

SmokeyNL and me are going on a roadtrip somewhere in the spring, probably may, and we will do an eastcoast tour. We're flying to Orlando, rent a car, pick up two crazy Asian botl's known as Ucubed & S0lefule0ne aka Kevin & Aldrin. We will visit Miami and the Florida keys.

Now, we got 2 weeks to drive all the way north and we do want to visit and herf with the botl's down the road. We will have to visit Ft. Rucker in Alabama to meet Jason aka Av8tor, then Georgia to meet Icantbejon, South Carolina for IR13 (Joey) Goodfella (Rob), Mikhail (Brian), North Caroline to hook up with Tobii3 and Skills, Virginia for Loki (Kevin), Chen, mr & mrs Floyd P, Stearns, Volt, Johnny Kay, Tabb (Leasing this space), Maryland to finally meet the guy who lured me into the asylum (hi Dave :) ), Pennsylvania to meet Shilala and a non cigar smoking friend of mine, New Jersey (preferably on a monday, so I can bring an asshat as a gift), New York (rochester to be exactly) and then off to Massachutes to herf with Vin & smack Bao.

the last week we will be in Las Vegas!

Now, what is the best way to go for this? Are there certain things we need to see down the road? Are there things we have to keep in mind? Are there any more inmates (or gorilla's) that want to herf with us on the route? I could use some advice before planning the route.

The only tip I have is you better not drive through my state without letting me know or there will be consequences :D

we will post the dates and the places where we herf, don't worry.

If there are several botl's in a certain state that want to herf, we might have to pick a central location somewhere.

I say....all four of ya Fly into boston..then drive down to FLA..The flight to Vegas will be cheaper..and after about a week or two of driving/visiting..Kev and Aldrin can hook you guys up with some hottie gator chics to prep you for vegas! :D

that was the original plan, but flying to Florida and drive up north saves those gator boys a ticket. And I bet you can hook us up with some Mass honeyz too Bao. Maybe I can windmill them :ss

Ouch, a lot of traveling like that doesn't leave a lot for sight seeing. In an effort to save time.... A Herf just south of DC in Northern VA may kill MD and VA in one shot in a MONSTER HERF. There are some MD folks I'd like to smoke with as well. Some where near DC might also offer some sight seeing if your into US history.

Not sure where your headed in NC, but out of the 39 states I have been to, NC has the prettiest spot in the US I have seen. The Smokey Mountains are stunningly beautiful. The Pidgeon Forge/Gatlinburg area and Cherokee nation are great places to visit.

Craig I was just chatting with him and he ill be driving up I-95 so maybe we can road trip to the PSHC and meet all of them for a large herf

If you make it to upstate NY, try and get to the fingerlakes region. Lots of wineries and beautiful scenery.

heh I'm down for whatever...just let me know when I should buy a ticket for vegas and it's done...I say we just herf at all the "must" see areas so we get the sight seeing and herfing all at once =)...I'm excited to finally meet many of you in person!!

I don't really have recommendations for ya, cause it sounds like you've already got a lot on your plate. However, I can reduce the load a bit. By the time you make it to the States, I'll be up in Virginia. So, I can link up with what VA herf you plan and meet you guys there. If I can get a babysitter, maybe I'll even bring the wif.

Simon and I took a map of the US and set out a little route. Al, you are off the hook, we decided to skip NJ as you are coming to MA anyway, so no skinny dipping ;)

the plans are:
fly to Orlando, hook up with Ucubed & S0lefule as they will accompany us during our American trip, herf a bit in Orlando and drive to keys next day to visit Madurofan & The Big Island smokeshop, then back to Miami and party. Next day visit Little Havana and herf with the local crew (and whoever wants to join, tampa crew?). Then it is off to Alabama, Ft Rucker to visit av8tor and taste some of the beef jerky he makes. Next on the agenda is a massive SC herf, we will try to arrange that we are in SC on a saturday so everybody can come (norther florida guys, georgia guys, SC and NC guys, maybe even some VA guys). After that we will visit Fayetteville, NC to fill Tobii's humidors :D. Washington DC and Maryland are for the next day. Then it is off to see Shilala's workshop in the woods of Pennsylvania before we drive up to Rochester NY to bomb Conch, DBall & Ambientboy :r last day of the east coast tour will be in Mass for a nice herf with the MassHoles @ Bao's windmill.

Then it's of to Las Vegas (yeah, not a roadtrip, we will fly) for some exitement. Booze, stripclubs, gambling and herfing.

Our place is little but we have a nice smoking space on the back porch.
So far as my "shop" goes, it's just a 16'x12' shed full of tools. :) It's not very dramatic but it works. :tu Add to that I live in town and "my shop in the woods" isn't at all "a shop in the woods".
If for some reason the weather is crappy or whatever there's a bar just a block away and I saw a sign yesterday that says they're still allowed to smoke in there.
I could talk to them about hosting a herf there and see if it's cool. Let me know if that sounds kosher.
We can certainly eat and entertain here, but we don't smoke in the house. That's why we built the porch.
Kerri and I would love to have all of you. It'd be our pleasure. :)

Albert can drive to SC for the big herf. We will drive tru GA but there is no herf nor a stop planned. Time is money ;)

i'd love to herf with you guys when you're in miami so let me know a time line. little havanais good for the factories but a little weak for b&m's, sosa cigar is probably the only decent one and that's not great. south miami area has some good ones and would be close to my restaurant, so i could always cook a little something off and bring it to the destination.

We want to visit some factories, that's why little havana is on the map. Herfing can take place anywhere. I will keep in touch, you probably know the best places being a local.

Pepins place is cool and you can see him there from time to time. You'll definitley need to have some Cuban food at some point. i can transport my caja china and a suckling pig anywhere. Keep me posted i don't want to miss this. :ss

there will be a herf with the MassHoles, don't know exactly where in Mass though. I will ask my windmillbuddy Bao to set the herf up.
