That really is quite incredible for a niche hobby forum like CA, and as others have already said, it is truly a testament to the friendliness, generosity, and knowledge of all the members here.

Because somebody mentioned it, that unmentionable site with the bloated sea creatures counts just over 9,000 members on their member list. That number undoubtedly includes at least a few thousand non-active (read jumped overboard).

I'm happy to be here! I don't miss anything from that other site.

The community here is the most wonderful, compassionate, generous and fun place I have ever been fortunate enough to be a part of. It is the members who make it what it is...the TOE just tried to ensure that we would never lose that sense of community to a commercial venture. I feel fortunate to be here with all of you.
