The regular man o war's are decent, but not very consistent, in my opinion.

There's been a few reviews posted. I like both these and the Ruination. Fernandez is also responsible for the Sol Cubano Cuban Cabinet, a very tasty budget smoke.

I don't like them but have 2 left in the humi that have been aging for about a year. Might revisit one.

I like the regular line very much, especially the figuarado rolling. Not a fan of the ruination line.

The way you've been slinging them around, I thought you'd signed up as a distributor. :r

I like both a lot. The Ruination is much more flavorful though. Just wish I could get my hands on more at a decent price. :)

The regular MoWs are on cbid fairly often. I've mainly seen the Ruinations as part of a "Royal Sampler" tin, which is 5 of each blend.

I've only had one MOW and it was great IMO. I have a special edition figurado in the humidor some cool guy in Oneonta sent me awhile ago.

I thought they were ok fresh, but with about a year on them they are awesome! That's the regular blend never tried the other one

Re: Man O' War

Did the original release Ruinations have the exact same band as the regular MOW, only with a second band on the foot?

I see the Ruination cigars now only have one band and the logo is now silver, with the actual work Ruination on it!

Hey Travis, the ones I sent in our trade were from a Royal Sampler (tin with 5 of each blend). Not sure if that's original release, or if they did special banding for the sampler.

They are good with some age on them for sure. Not worth the MSRP but if you can get them on a deal, they are good value.
Here's an interesting sampler
http://www.cigar.com/cigars/viewcigar.asp?brand=641

I've ordered this one below. You will find it at the bottom of the page. They always seem to have this one going. 20 sticks for $100.

Of course cbid probably can beat that price, but I can't order from them.

The MOW line started with the ruinations having the same band as the originals, but with the addition of a foot band.

Then they removed the foot band and caused confusion.

Next they changed the color of the ruination band to make it silver to distinguish it from the mainline.

I have an order on the way with an eight cigar sampler of MOW, two each of different vitolas. Any advice on resting time other than the typical period of adjustment after transit? I have been wanting to try these for a while and it will be hard just to wait for them to stabilize.

I would say 6 months or more. Mine are over a year now and smoke waaaay better than within the first month or two.
