JR Trick or Treat?

Did anyone buy either one of the samplers this year? If so, what was in it?

Last year's sampler SUCKED!

Hoping this year was better. I did not participate.

Yeah, General Cigar owns JR, so if you like stuff put out by General then you might enjoy the Trick or Treat, otherwise I would stay away...

As I remember, some were very happy with the scwag they got last year. Not the greatest assortment of cigars but ashtrays, shirts and lighters.

some good deals to be found here but I wouldn't trust them to pick out my cigars for me. They're likely to give you the stuff they can't sell.

I just visited the JR located in Detroit and asked about the sampler this year...I was told that it will be a vendor event. The various vendor's will sale sampler bag filled with cigars, lighters, etc. I will check it out when and if it happens and post what I see.

That says it all right there for me. They give you 1 stick at MSRP of $29.95 (their price probably half that and the rest are dog rockets. I'm willing to bet it's a gurkha too.

If I hadn't spent over budget already, I'd be tempted to try the #2 sampler. This line makes me curious: Your $49.95 wouldn't buy one of the items at our normal J·R discount price, much less buy all the goodies in it.
