Do you blow smoke rings?
 

A lot of times when I smoke by myself I find that I blow smoke rings just for the hell of it. Do you or don't you? :ss

Seriously, I couldn't blow a smoke ring to save my life. Fortunately, my life has not, thus far, hung on that ability. I don't think I've seen someone blow a smoke ring in years.

Been doing smoke rings for 40 years and once you get it right,,,it's easy. I can make a smoke ring and blow another ring thru it. No, I won't take a picture of it.

It look practice though...

I started out just puckering up like a fish and taping the outside of my cheek with my finger instead of trying to blow smoke rings..now I blow smoke rings when it's not windy.. :wo

I do it loads. Try blowing a large ring and then a smaller one to go through it immediately after it. With a bit of practice you can change the speed that they float away from you so you can make the first one go small and the second one go faster through the middle of it. The first time I did it I felt I deserved a medal of some sort :)

always , i hold my cigar in front of me and try to make the ring go onto the cigar...i thought everybody blew rings...

I always smoke outside, so even though I have tried once or twice, it didn't work. :(

IMO, the gist of the trick (which no one's mentioned yet) is in perfecting a controlled little air-puff from the back of your throat. You have to kind of foreshorten it, if you get my drift- the vascular equivalent of a glottal stop, perhaps.

So, pretend you're a cockney who's lost his voice. :r

Not around other people, but I don't blow traditional rings either. What I do is make the oh face, then tap my cheek with my index fingr. Each time you tap it a ring the size of a quarter will come out. Pretty neat once you get good at it

Never tried the tapping technique.

The best way I can describe how to do it is just say the letter "O" a bunch of times and make your mouth into the shape of when you say "O" and blow some air out. Basically, pucker up your lips pretty tightly, but leave a small hole for the smoke to escape.

As far as the double rings go, that's beyond me.:tu
