Mild to Medium Maduros
I have kind of back tracked a bit in that I am leaning more towards mild to medium cigars. I started out smoking mostly fuller bodied cigars but it seems that I am just leaning the other way now.
What do you guys and gals smoke when you reach for a mild to medium maduro? |
Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
Perdomo Slow-Aged Lot 826 in Maduro are a favorite of mine. They're my go-to cigar for golf. Plus they're cheap enough that I don't mind sharing when I hear, "That smells great! Got another one of those?" :)

Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
Although the ERDM Reserva Salado is rated medium/full, I find its sweeter maduro wrapper and well-balanced blending make it taste a lot milder than it actually may be. Often you won't notice how strong it is, until you turn your head - then BOOM!
I tend to judge cigar strength by the weather too - if you can smoke it in comfort when it's 90+ degrees, then it's not too strong. |

Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
Sol Cubano by Oliva Maduro This is the new blend, and the only one I tried. The old blend is referred to as Sol Cubano Maduro. The new blend is very nice and affordable at C bid.

Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
I haven't had many maduros, but the Tatuaje Reserva SW Maduro is probably more towards medium-bodied. It's got full flavor, but it's not overwhelming.

Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
Tampa Sweetheart maduros. Absolutely fabulous, mellow, tasty, and mild.
Esteban Carrera Maduros. Nestor Maduros. There's tons. But I think the cream of the mild to mediums are Tampa Sweethearts. I smoke a zillion Sancho Panza Double Maduros, and I think they're real mild, but everyone says they're strong. All I know is that they're friggin awesome. |
Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
NUB MAduros, as well. Nice sweet mild body
|
Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
Definitely Padron Londres!
Sancho Panza maduros are pretty mellow too. |
Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
Diablos are a nice medium-strength smoke, but you'd better hurry, as they're not making anymore.
Cigars Int'l Legends by Perdomo is another tasty medium. Nestor Reserve Maduros fit the bill, also. And you might consider the Romeo y Julieta Vintage Maduros. |
Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
Sancho Panza DM
Padron Londres Party Black Those are my top 3:tu |
Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
Give a Gurkha doble maduro a try. I know Gurkha gets a bad rap (mostly justified), but this one is well made and right between mild and medium with some good flavor.

Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
Sancho Panza double maduro or one of my personal favorites, Yellow Jacket (made by Perdomo for Two Guys Smoke Shop). Both are affordable, too!

CAO MX2
Although this cigar has heaps of flavours. They are very smooth and delicate. It is also low in Nicotine from what I can tell. |
Re: Mild to Medium Maduros
The Perdomo Habano maduro is tasty. A little spice drifts through now and again but I'd call it medium. They're big ring gauge sticks and not very complex, so I prefer the robustos; the longer ones can be a little boring.
