Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

She supports me smoking, but the buying not so much.
My girlfriend thinks its a good thing that cigars help me relax and that I have a hobby, she also likes how I met so many great people who all share the same passion.

My wife doesn't love it... but as long as I don't smoke cigarettes (about 14 months without one) she won't say much.

She usually complains, but then I tell her, "Well honey, I could be smoking crack". Then she usually stops :fu

Yep, we smoke together. She likes different cigars than I do so it works out quite nicely ... we're not fighting over the last xxx in the humidor. :)

As long as I smoke outside and keep to a reasonable budget, she has no problem. Better than cigarettes and she likes the fact that a cigar relaxes me and makes my personality closer to Mr. Rogers than Atilla the Hun.:D

My girlfriend hates me doing it.

Its really funny that people still tell me that its bad for me. I have to remind them im a Nurse and have spent alot of time working in Oncology. I know its bad for me - Im will to take the risk for the heavenly enjoyment.

Chris and I enjoy sharing a cigar together. Great way to relax and have some good conversation. We have slightly different tastes. He smokes more often than I do and he claims I have more expensive taste. :ss

My wife tolerates the whole thing. I can only smoke outside, and I've tried to turn her on to some milder, flavor stuff, but no dice yet.

Thankfully my wife enjoys the smell of a nice cigar and one of here own from time to time. I think it's in her blood as she is 100% Cuban. :D I smoke outside or in the shed as I don't like the morning cigar smell in the house.

Not even close. Wife hates it and gives me guff anytime she smells it on me ... but I haven't been kicked out of the house just yet.

I'm one of the fortunate ones I guess. Mrs. Brew loves my habit, and joins in about ¾ of the time. I have to keep her stocked up with Tatiana Cappuccinos, Isla del Sols, and Leon Jimenes Cafe Dominicanas. If I do that, we smoke in bliss together!

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

My wife has no problem as long as I don't get wild with purchases. She likes to taste what I'm smoking and occasionally smokes small flavored cigars.

My wife doesn't like it, but she doesn't nag me about it as long as I only spend my personal money.

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

My wife expresses concern for my health every now and then, but other than that she is fine with it and is my regular smoking companion. I tell her I don't smoke often enough for it to be a major risk, and even if I did, the stress reduction benefit far outweighs the possible harm in my book.

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

She doesn't hound me too much about it. She gets more pissed about time spent on a cigar forum than on smoking cigars.

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

My lovely wife doesn't love cigars, but she does surprise me with them from time to time... even set up a nice smoking area for me on the back porch with new furniture and a stinky ashtray.

But ALWAYS smoke outside. :D

When we were dating everything was cool... It's only after we got married that she began to nag about the cigars (and golf for that matter). She can't complain about the money, because I only spend my personal money. I think her complaints are more health related.

My wife expresses her concern for my health every now and again and tolerates it as long as I don't go crazy with the spending. She always has something "nice" to say when the postman comes...LOL!!!

Mine is about the same...she does wonder if coolers and humidors breed in the closet like her craft supplies seem to.

The wife is NOT a fan of cigars. But, she also recognizes that if there is something I enjoy that doesn't affect her or the kids, then I should be able to enjoy it. I don't smoke around them at all.

My wife gets me some of my best cigars...My local B&M loves it when she comes in, the dirty ol' fart...Just kidding, Howard is a great guy!

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

The wife has no problem with me smoking or buying. She has bought them before herself and worked through a friend for another purchase for me. I don't smoke in the house out of respect for her and my step-son. I do get the occasional "you stink" or "there's a lot of smoke out here tonight", but no b!tching or anything.

Wife seems to be cool with the cigar hobby I picked up suddenly....I told I had to get rid of my stang so I need another forum to chat on and need to do something constructive to keep my mind going.......Has not complained yet but gets worried when the UPS, Fedex and Postal Carriers are around....LOL.....

Well, once you assemble a really good stash, I'll start nagging you and telling you to quit smoking cigars. I'll say earnestly that you should just let me destroy all those cigars you bought because they're so bad for you. I'll light them on fire and nobly save you from them, one cigar at a time. :r

Mine tolerates it, can't say she supports it. Would probably rather I not smoke.

I don't think she's crazy about it, but she deals with it. She understands, as I do, the give and take in a relationship. She knows I enjoy it and she would prefer me to have enjoyable experiences.

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

My wife likes that I enjoy it. She says as long as I don't smoke too many (I smoke about 3-4 a week), she is happy I find enjoyment in them, and she likes the aroma. While I spend too much on "collecting" cigars, she doesn't complain about it because she knows I always shop for a good deal and I pay with my debit card, not a credit card. She will enjoy one with me sometimes (she likes smaller ones like petite coronas or cigarette-sized ones). Once in a while she enjoys a cigarette, but I bought her a pack of imported Dunhills at a cigar lounge and she likes them. I've got to say, for cigarettes they smell very good.

You can find my Fiance at many events by my side. She is hooked on the Epernay by Illusione. KEEPER! She only enjoyes places that she can have a glass of wine or a beer at and the smoke ventilation has to be good.

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

My wife does not believe it is that healthy, and is concerned with any cancer risk (especially with a new baby due in a few weeks). Her main concern through is how I stink after smoking cigars. If they did not make my smell so bad, she says she would not mind them as much at all.

With a username like "Cigarwife", I think she is supportive!!!

My wife has pushed me down the slope faster than most people on this board!!!

Thanks to Mean Darrell's significant other, she has begun smoking the flavored cigars... on occation!!!

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

My wife is ok with it because she knows how much I enjoy it. Sometimes she'll take a puff or two or three. But I also get " that one really stinks" once in a while. All in all she's pretty good with it.

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

Yep, she does ... In fact every evening we take a break together, sit out in the back 40 and watch the mountains turn colors and share a cigar or two.
She even has her own private little stash.
She doesn't complain that I smoke in my office, or in the shop, She say's My home is my castle.
She doesn't really like the fact that I smoke a few cigaretts a day, but I roll my own out of natural additive free tobacco so she really doesn't bug me about it.
I'm a grown Adult and she treats me like one.
She's a keeper! :tu

:tpd: Exactly. Although her dad is my biggest supporter. He's been quite a hit out at the country club ever since he started showing up with PSD4s for himself and all his friends.

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

Mine will sit outside with and steal puffs of what I have. I am thinking about getting a couple of small flavored ones for her to try. Sometimes she makes comments about my investment, but since I sold the Harley she is ok with my new hobby. It's cheaper and less likely to get me run over by a blue hair that can't drive anymore.

Smoke on
