What should I do?
 

I bought a box of DPG Cuban Classic Toros and had Don Pepin himself sign the box. Now the dilemma, do I smoke them or keep the box intact? I'm torn...your thoughts.

I had some boxes signed and my wife found a creative way to disply them for me. I posted this in another thread but here it is again

I say smoke em. Pepin signs so many boxes a year I don't see a huge monetary gain worth not smoking them. The extra value I see is you getting a story to tell, and a souviner to show off.

Why did you purchase them, to smoke and enjoy them or to save them and potentially sell them for a profit?

IMO, a signed box by someone you really appreciate in the cigar world...that's more memorabilia in my book.

Smoke them. Don Pepin said so himself, in an interview he said my cigars are made to be smoked when you buy them. To age them will not make them better, as it is with Cuban cigars. So smoke them when you want to.

Were one of a nefarious mind, one might consider smoking the cigars and saving the bands. Then one might obtain a suitable number of rockets, reband them, shrink-wrap the box, and offer them on E-Bay at some outrageous price.


Were I not so passionately honest, I might have this idea, if only theoretical. :ss
