I would assume so. I don't think one can sell alcohol or tobacco on the bay.

Pre-embargos wouldn't have a box code....but they wouldn't have a warranty seal with a serial number either!!

That warranty seal begins with an H which would make it 2006.

They look like Churchill sized cigars, but they don't have the Churchill Labels.

The Romeo y Julieta Churchill sized cigars that did use the regular labels are the Prince of Wales which were discontinued in 2002.

Theres probably hundreds of more mistakes I'm missing, but you get the idea!! :r

Just checked, it's a listing violation. I bet the bay pulls it soon.

He failed to mention that the bands were rare and the tobacco isn't intended to be smoked.

:tpd:

As long as he is selling "the bands" and not the tobacco, the listing would hold... but it is against policy to list counterfeit items so even if he had been selling only the bands, it would most likely get pulled if people complain and tell ebay they are not legit...

Re: Interesting eBay find....

i think the guy is putting pre-embargo so that he wont be incriminating himself..hence the wink sign in the other listing..if he were to say they were collectors items intact and not opened the box he would be able to keep it up..anyways he isnt doing it right and theyre fakes..

The ring is really nice. It would make a nice upgrade from my paper cigar band rings.
