Here's a better one, note that it only includes bailout money Bush had approved as of Nov '08. It doesn't include any of Obama's stimulous spending.

Re: Trillion?!?!?

my professor in college brought in 1000 $1 bills and it ws roughly 1 foot high.

if that was $100 bills, then it would have been $100,000.

so $1million would have been 10 feet high

$10million would have been 100 feet high

$100million would have been 1000 feelt high

$1billion would have been 10,000 feet high

$10billion would be 100,000 feet high

$100billion would be 1,000,000 feet high

$1trillion would be 10,000,000 feet high

out national debt is now over $5trillion, sothat is over 50,000,000 feet high

That is 9,469.7 miles high of $100 bills one on top of eachother.

That is from New York to Syndey Australia.

How can we pay this off?

Thanks for posting that. Actually allows people to grasp how large the numbers really are. I am scared that everyone is now "used" to words like billion and trillion!
