The Robin Hood of Greece

This guy is a bad ass. Seriously. I mean, he's a career criminal and that's not cool, but this story is amazing. It would make a great movie.

Although I'm with Darrell and do not agree with his criminal acts.......I gotta admit it's nice to see that there are still men who act like men in a world that is becoming ever so soft. If only he could have used his cajones in a respectable direction. Great story none the less

When a story is written so blatantly one sided by what appears to be a nut job writer completely fascinated by this type of lunacy, you have got to wonder just how much of the fable is truthful v. how much is totally stretched to the point that the writer wishes to expand the legend.

Here is a more realistic version.

Less adjectives. :D

Re: The Robin Hood of Greece

Of COURSE it's one sided! The name of the website is badassoftheweek.com. That's what the guy does.

Check out the first article the guy did where the BAOTW was Darth Vader.

Too funny.

Cheers,
Michael

HA.

No, I do not subscribe. My girlfriend belongs to some site that people can add their favorite websites or articles on and it acts as like a catalog for others to check out. She showed me the site. Blame her. :r

Re: The Robin Hood of Greece

so lets get this straight. The guy is a career criminal who's idea of a good time is kidnapping rich folks and selling them back(man on fire anyone?) But because he gives all the money to poor people he's a bad ass?
Quote:

snatching a powerful jackass CEO industrialist, ransoming him for a huge wad of cash, and once again distributing the loot to local farmers and families.
so because a guy is rich and an industrialist (which means he probbaly employs quite a few people) he's a jack ass?
Quote:

Vassilis not only earned his freedom for the second time, and once again showed the world that his ballsack is roughly the size of a small continent, but he also got some sweet delicious revenge on the mother****ers in charge of the Greek prison system at the same time. For allowing the same guy to escape the same prison in the same manner twice in a row, the Greek government fired the country's Chief of Prisons, the Inspector-General of Prisons, the warden of Korydallos, and three guards at the facility. They all learned what it means to step to somebody as awesome as the Greek Robin Hood. Vassilis Paleokostas is fully rad because kicked ass, won the respect of the people, said "**** you" to the police, and managed to single-handedly place the country's three top-ranking prison officials in the back of the unemployment line.
the original robinhood was good because he took from the rich what they had TAKEN from the poor, hence his badassedness. However just because you take money from rich people and give it to poor people doesn't make you robin hood, it makes you a thief. Sure it's stuff out of a movie, helo escape and all, but really, s I hope he catches the wrong end of a bullet resembling a small ashtray in the caliber of .45. (but the greeks aren't allowed to have weapons) SO I doubt it would happen. Leonidias would have crushed this man, and would be ashamed to call him a Greek.
(This badass of the week exemplifies the class warfare becoming more prominent "he's rich he's mean and shouldn't have all that money" )

Funny story.

I just can't understand how this happens. Oh wait I understand exactly how, it's Greece. If you were Greek you would understand completely. I'm surprised the guy didn't just walk right out the front door.

He makes him sound like a cross of the Boondock Saints and "V."

He will face the music one day - and rightfully so.

... but I have to say, escaping twice in the same manner from the same prison? Impressive. :D

Not very impressive if you know how the country of Greece operates. I hate to say it but they are very lazy. I have witnessed officers help citizens riot in the street. I'm a very proud Greek but I don't agree in some ways how the country is run.

Robin Hood actually took the $$$ from the over taxation and returned it to the people.
