I really enjoyed the first half of this season. I liked that there was not too much action as it allowed them time to further develop the characters.

To fill my need for Walking Dead, I've been reading the Wiki for the comic book a lot. Interesting how they've changed the story line from the comic book. For instance, in the book, Shane is long dead at this point. Reading the Wiki has also shown me that there are still plenty of really cool places the group could end up and some really cool characters they could yet introduce to the show.

I have my DVR set to record the second season today too. Great show, watched season 1 a while ago on nflix but missed the 2nd season when it was on. Looking forward to watching it and catching up with the series.

Not a bad first episode! Without giving away anything for you left coasters I'll just say I found Lori very annoying during that episode and I wonder if there will be any reprecusions from that scene in the bar.

While I agree CBM is not worth it, I thought it was a brilliant marketing move by AMC to try to get Walking Dead fans to tune into the new show. I know I sat through the interminable 10 minutes of Comic Book Men to get to next weeks preview for the Walking Dead.

That said, there is another preview up on the AMC site too -- it will make more sense if you saw last night's preview but things look to be getting very interesting.

Best line from last night, "Ya' got any coos?" as the guy stands pissing on the floor of the bar.

PS - why is the group acting like they don't know what the symptoms of turning into a zombie is with that young blonde chick, Beth?? the guy at the CDC explained it and they saw it w/the skinny guy that got bit and chose to stay on the road. Guess we'll lose another semi-hot chick cause she's a zombie sure as the Pope wears a funny hat

Regarding the 2 guys at bar, the skinny guy s was "Rene" from the 1st season of Ture Blood, anyone else catch that? I miss his accent.
