They should limit the playoffs to the original 6 teams anyways. We only need the expansion teams to provide variety during the regular season and to provide additional farm teams for us.:r:r:r

No, it should just be between the Canadiens and Maple Leafs since they are the only charter members left. :r So in reality every team but them are expansion teams.

Actually you are right but I am using Original Six in the traditional sense. I suppose that we could let the Senators in since they were, at one time, league members in the early days.:tu

That's what I'm thinking, and I'm wondering why nobody did anything. Does Tampa not have a big guy? A few years ago, there is no way he would have gotten away with something like that.

Missed the celebration myself. But I have read a ton of stuff saying it was over the top. Untill he wins in the playofs he will just be a showboater.

At this rate the nucks are going to blow past the Flames and the Hawks :confused::bh

Flames just can't seem to have more than 3 players at the top of their game at the same time. Ollie's on a tear, while Kipper looks like he's napping ....

Same in Chicago....Toews is on a tear, but the goaltending and defensive (or lack of it, read "Brian Campbell") are killing the Hawks.

Is he being a ghost on the ice? I swear during the playoffs for the sharks you couldn't tell when he was on the ice, and when you could, it was not a good thing. So happy they didn't sign him, and got Boyle for essentially nothing.

Kings beat the bruins! Give the kings another year or two, and I think they will be very competitive again. Could be a scary division.

The blues have been sneaking up into the playoffs, two points back from the predators, and both have the same amount of games left.

Yeah, I would much rather have Boyle. Campbell isn't invisible at all......he can clearly be seen losing his check, coughing it up, shying away....it is sad. He actually had his best game in 3 weeks last night, and he was barely average.

I just read that (Blackhawks) Eager has been suspended for three games, starting with today's game vs the Kings. Did anyone see what he did? I know it was a blow to the head, but no details in the quick article I read. Tom?
I know he's gotten nailed for "blows to the Head" in the past. Just curious how bad it was. I guess he's considered a repeat offender now.
I'll see if I can find a link

Elbow to the noggin', Wayne. Wasn't too bad except Eager went about 6 strides out of his way to deliver it.

Blues won an incredible game last night against Vancouver. One of the most well played and worst called games I've seen in a while. That makes it three in a row and put's the Blues (1) point from the 8th spot. We're getting there!! :tu

I can't wait!!! I'm a bit worried though, Blues are on a 5 game win streak and as we all know, streak's don't last forever. The "Kid Line" has brought new life to STL.

At least you've clinched a playoff spot. The Devils always seem to play better in the playoffs. You know how the NHL is, "Second Season" play is always different. Have faith my friend. That's what I'm living on with my BLues. I'm just hoping they don't end up giving me the BLUES. :tu

I hope they can keep the Ducks out the playoffs. Dislike both teams, but its been awhile since a good sharks/blues matchup.

I hear ya. Those were some great games, but it may be wishful thinking the way the Blues played tonight. :bh It was like they were playing in slow motion. The Blues couldn't get anything going with Chicago keeping 4 back and 1 on the forecheck.

By the way congrats on the win, Tom. :bx
I guess you had to beat us once this season. :D

I honestly can say tonights game was the first in a while Ive watched. I was talkin to a friend on facebook who is also a huge Devils fan and he told me that the refs have been calling alot of stuff against the Devils that should have not been called causing power plays (where we have been really sucking and allowing goals) and letting stuff go that should have been called on the team they were playing. Tonight Brent Sutter actually went out on the ice to yell at the ref and they game him a penalty for something like "abusing a ref"

That's the second time. ;)

St Louis didn't play with the urgency I expected being that they are fighting for their playoff lives...especially against a team that played last night in Montreal. Jackman and Oshie were not the dominating forces the way they were the last couple times the Blues beat the Hawks.

Good luck on the rest of the playoff run....I would love to see all 5 teams in the division make the postseason. :tu
