I got the super swank Razr 3 once. It was a brand new hand me down from my daughter. I activated it and walked out on the front porch and called my bud.
About 15 seconds into it I dropped it and immediately had TWO Razrs. The top snapped clean off like it was meant to work like that.
Thus ends my Razr experience. A shame, cause it was a wicked sweet phone.

Reports are that some orders through AT&T are showing a 6/23 delivery date, too. Mine hasn't been updated in the system yet. :(

I found a cool app where you can assign neat ringtones to different people.
For example, my boss sounds like a barking pitbull, my coworker a jackass, and my mom an old style ringing phone from the 40's.....

You can do that without any app.
You can use Garage Band if you have a Mac and can create any ringtone you want and then assign it to whoever you want.
I have Pants on the Ground for my son as it reminds me of my battles with him when he was younger.
I have the Geico Ring Ding Dong song from the commercial as my generic tone.

Better yet, just use iTunes to do it. Google "make iphone ringtones in itunes" and you'll see a ton of pages. Works on both Mac and Windoze.

I thought with iTunes you had to take the ringtone as they have it set.
Can you mess with the song to cut it up any way you want?
Also, with Garage Band, it is free if you use a song from your library.
I am sure with iTunes you have to pay for it.

Like Professor said... just google 'make ringtone for iphone' and you will be enlightened. There are methods to make any song you download an ringtone... and you can select any part of the song you want.

Also, you can use any song in your library to do it. I have lots of mp3s that I didn't buy from iTunes that I have made into ringtones.

Incorrect, sir.

With iTunes, you can take a non-DRM track (an AAC or MP3 that doesn't have protection on it), cut it up, and re-import it as a ringtone. Quick. Free. Easy.

And it works with both Macs and Windoze.

Look up the directions -- they're everywhere.

Mine won't get here until the 5th :(

I spent the whole day at work trying to get through to order it the day they started taking orders, when I finaly got through I didn't realize they had changed the shipping date. Oh well.

My stupid 3G is finaly updating, but its been stuck at the 3min remaining mark for some time now. It needs to finish so I can go to Santa Barbara and meet with my tattoo artist. Stupid Apple, monopolizing my time!

Mine was stuck for hours. I'm doing a restore then I'm gonna update.
Hopefully that will speed it up. Although the sync will still take a long time.

My computer decided it wanted to restart itself to install windows updates while I wasn't paying attention. Luckily the new software had installed but the restore hadn't finished so basicly I'm holding a 3G with 4.0 software like it would come out of the box. Oh well that'll work for now, I'm too lazy to do another restore now

I ordered mine from AT&T and it shows it is being shipped out today, but does not give an estimated delivery date. Oh well, as long as I have a current tracking number and it shows being shipped out today, I'm a happy camper!

I may be wrong but isn't everyone eligible for uprade? The price determines how eligible you are. For example, I have to pay $399 to get the 16 gb.

Anyone who is eligible for an upgrade any time in 2010 can get it for $199.
Anyone who is eligible for an upgrade beyond 2010 will pay the price you list.
