 Re: Red's Fans Check in

Billy Hamilton hit his first major league home run last night in the Reds' victory. Good thing he did, the scores are way too tight for consistent wins more often than not.

		Brayan Pena is looking good!

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

Looks like the Reds are running low on healthy catchers. Does this signal the return of Corky Miller??

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

		Not good news about Bruce...
Brian, I think we need Benito Santiago as our catcher. I loved watching him throw runners out from his knees. |

Not a good rehab start for Arnoldis. I'm still wondering if they shouldn't have shopped him after the injury. :hm

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

		Aroldis didn't fare well, either!

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

I am worried about Chapman getting torn up in AAA.

Having the injury he has is going to have an impact of the velocity that he used to throw at. I really think that there is no way he comes back as the same player. |

He said that his slider didn't work for him- but it sure fooled the batter! Keep throwing that lousy slider that works like a wicked curve and you'll be fine!

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

Chapman looked great yesterday. The batter that he "walked" was really a strikeout. The FoxTrax showed it CLEARLY inside the strike zone. It wasn't even borderline.

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

I tell ya, the strike zone is crazy! Home plate umpiring leaves a great deal to be desired!

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

I should have quit watching last night's game much sooner than I did.
	 |

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

They managed to squeak out a 2-1 victory yesterday. Jay Bruce is slated to cme back soon, but that won't help hit/run production unless he goes into his one-month-a-year hot streak at the plate right away.

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

Last night's win over the dreaded Cardinals was how the Reds should be playing, consistently, if they hope to get into the post season.
Let's sse if they can go two out of three or better yet get the sweep broom out on Sunday night. |

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

I had a blast last night at the game
	 |

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

Guess I shouldn't have mentioned their victory. That's 10 out of 11 or 11 out of 12 series against they Cardinals that the Reds have lost.
Someone should get Jay Bruce a five foot long bat to use if he's going to continue to swing at those low outside pitches game after game. |

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

I hate to pile on but holy carp the Reds are stinkin' up the stadiums right now.
	 |

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

		Finally, a win!

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

Maybe Bryan Price reads this thread, got mad at my pessimism, and gave the roster that big shakeup to quiet me down. Then again they were playing the Diamondbacks not the Giants.

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

I'm really becoming a Frazier fan as of late. He and Mes seem to be the only guys who play with energy and enthusiasm. Future team leaders?
	 |

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

I totally agree about Frazier and Mesoraco being leaders. Frazier is the "get everyone up and happy guy" and Mes could be the more serious leader...

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

My first post here and it is about my Reds.
What a brutal pitching performance last night. Up 8 and we lose? Seriously? Middle relief was horrific. Parra is struggling. |

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

Okay a four game sweep is pretty dang good for the Reds this year, congrats. But....you knew there was gonna be a "But"....all the wins they've racked up this last week or so and only one game gained on the Brewers. Still a big uphill battle.

I'm okay with Jay Bruce pulling the ball to right every time he makes contact--as long as they go over the outfield wall like the last couple nights.
Weird seeing him play first base though. |

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

		Awesome win last night!

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

Nice to go into the AS break with a solid win, and a decent streak of them lately.

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

Things are looking up! Now lets hope Bailey, Votto, and Latos can get healthy soon.

 Re: Red's Fans Check in

Frazier did us proud last night. His brother wasn't the best choice to throw to him, but he still made the final round.

No trades and losing 2 out of 3 to the Diamondbacks. Hey, at least they won today against the Marlins on the nice (err bad) call from the replay officials. :tu
