I am waiting for a replacement for my LCP as gave mine to my son for his that was recently purchased. Gave son both the holster and mag holder and ordered new ones for me. 10 days into the order but Paul is now running 4 weeks out rather than his usual 2-3. I absolutely love his stuff. Simplest, lightest, most unnoticeable of all holsters. Here is my Shield's. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...ACEC56ECB6.jpg http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...ACF433DABB.jpg |

If you're content with it later, then you have even more options from lots of different small companies. http://www.slickguns.com/category/ammo http://www.sportsmansguide.con http://www.cabelas.com http://www.midwayusa.com http://www.brownels.com I picked up some of this stuff cheap, $11 a box for Aguila 9mm 124gr FMJ (read good enough stuff about em), but it won't ship for another 4 weeks. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c....aspx?a=282526 |

Have you guys shot/used the Blazer Brass brand?

Shot 124 gr 9mm. No flaws other than found it to be the dirtiest ammo I have ever shot. Same for friend that was with me who was a trainer at academy. Not sure if we had a bad batch or that is the norm but have not bought it as result of that day at the range. Our hands were literally black when we were done. |

If you want it quicker than a month out, check SGammo daily. Stuff on there all the time and cheaper than Cabela's. Very fast shipping. |
Re: First Firearm Thread.
I will have to check that.. I don't see them on there now.
They have the 1000 rounds Federal JHP for almost, just a bit higher than the Winchester at cabelas. I do not want to just shoot JHP, but for the same price, why not? |

Although I had previously "heard" of 3gun, I had never watched a video before today. I'm hooked. I want to do it. RIGHT NOW. I think I found my new hobby when I return to the states next year. That should make the wife REALLLLY happy :r
There's a match up in my neck of the woods end of the month, I'll try to get up there and see what its like. before I leave... |
Re: First Firearm Thread.
an AR mag with a numerical countdown indicator? GENIUS!
I'm surprised these aren't more popular here in the US... http://store.commandarms.com/products/CDMAG.html |
Re: First Firearm Thread.
I have seen those, cool idea :tu

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Still waiting for my E-lander mags from Mako to ship. Should hopefully ship within the week.

Charge hit on my card on Friday. Hoping that is a sign of processing. |
Re: First Firearm Thread.
They're behind on shipping. They have inventory but they just have way to many orders to fill. Mako said they even have family members coming in to help fill orders.
Edit: I placed my order on 12/27 |

I just got charged today for my Armalite order directly from Armalite for 2 20 and 2 25 mags for .308. That has to be good news that I was charged now when ordered around 12/20. Fingers crossed. |

Attention AR guys.
Great home defense ammo at great price. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...-usa556jf.html |
Re: First Firearm Thread.
I'd rather have 75gr TAP :D

Heck that 40gr Fran ammo would make good steel plinking ammo
|
Re: First Firearm Thread.
I have mixed feelings about frangible ammo. If it's going to break up before going through a wall, odds are that it may have spent a lot of it's energy already by the time it gets through a leather jacket and only create a superficial wound. Not good IMO :(
I put all my eggs in the pmag basket from DSG... hope that doesn't backfire on me! |
Re: First Firearm Thread.
This should add an interesting mix to the debate of high capacity mags and Glock type guns.
Put five out of six fired rounds in assailant. Guy made out of house and is alive and well in hospital. Imagine if more assailants, she could have been dead, along with her children. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.1234400 And to think I wonder if a loaded AR with 30 rounds, a loaded Glock with 13 and an extra mag loaded, a loaded LCP and a loaded Shield are enough. |

Re: First Firearm Thread.
hmm... I must be missing something here.
I picked up a Sightmark red dot scope after reading good reviews around the web, my FIRST red dot sight. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o01_s01_i03 Build quality seems good enough, good field of view, mostly visible red dot (bright sunlight and snow like I have here gave it a bit of trouble, but you can still make out the dot, which is all one can expect for under $100. But here's the problem - correct me if I'm wrong, and I may well be, the theory of a red dot is that, similar to a reflex sight, the dot moves around in the window relative to your head position, so it doesn't matter what angle you look through it, the dot is on target, right? So I set it down on the table, aimed it at the wall 10ft away, and peered through. Eureka, a dot! and I moved my head to the side, Eureka, the dot moved with my head! But wait... the point of aim also moved with my head! Significantly! At only 10ft away, moving my head to the side could adjust the point of aim by approx. 4 inches in either direction! This effect is generally minimized with a scope which has minimal eye relief, you can't actually see through it unless you're lined up pretty close to center. But with a wide red dot tube like that one, if the point of aim shifts, then how are you supposed to line your head up precisely down the middle to get an accurate shot if it has such a wide viewing angle? |

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Francis. Why don't u try it actually shooting and see what happens if u move ur head but the dot stays in target?
I'm sure someone on arfcom can answer your question though |
Re: First Firearm Thread.
So hard to pull the trigger on the Winchester 9mm ammo. $367.94 shipped, for 1200 rounds of 115gr
