Hard to know what to call an upset in this one. Who has to win in order for it to be an upset?

Gonna be weird seeing the outcome of UA at USC. The media, in order to have something to jibber-
jabber on endlessly, has set up the big upset. Can't see that happening. It is of course, a possibility,
but so is a comet hitting Paramus. Not gonna bother me if UA gets knocked off. I know it WOULD
bother a lot of other folks. I could use the space, to tell you the truth. It's tough being a fan of
the worst 5-0 team in SEC football, maybe NCAA football.
Yes, it's true, I am now a florida fan.........

Oh there is no confusion. I am not a BAMA FAN, I just don't hate them like most people.
If there is no football on except Bama, I pull for Bama. If Bama is ahead of LSU in the
standings, I am obviously not a Bama fan. I grew up a Tulane fan, which means I hated
LSU. So my team that was on TV all the time was Bama. I got behind them as a 7 year
old kid, and still have pent up affinity. Confusing, I know, but the point is, if Bama
lost this week, it would not hurt my feelings, i.e. the worst 5-0 team in the SEC would
REALLY catch a nice break, lol. If you are still confused, I think my new avatar says it all.

I also think I am like Tom with his Gator fetish. Tom is pure northern, and has no real rational reason to like the
Gators. same with me and Alabama. But I am really a sucker for Power, Success and Finesse and Speed in a
football team. Love em or hate em, The Tide RIGHT NOW are a thing of beauty. There is so much also-ran
stuff on the air during football season, and to watch Alabama is just thrilling. They are really getting it done.

So Bama got bumped by SC. Arkansas squeaked by. Things are going to be brutal in the West this year. Arkansas needs to get their offense's collective minds right or we'll wind up in a bad position. TAMU all but handed us a blow out and we barely made it by.... mostly on our D. Bama needs to shake this loss off and learn from their mistakes. From the looks of the stats (I didn't watch it as I was watching the Ark game) it looks like SC studied the Ark v Bama game and repeated our successes while keeping their foot on the gas. They just handed Auburn and LSU the keys to defeating Bama. So Bama needs to hit the ground running and fix the leaks.

Arkansas needs to get their offense back on point and run the table. This is going to be a brutal and frustrating season methinks.

I really don't like that those stinkin' Buckeyes will be #1 and the SEC might be out of the running for the National Championship. I would truly hate to see Boise v Ohio.... That would just plain suck.

Heh... You guys actually looked competent last night (for the whole 2min that I watched before half-time). As for my previous statement... It still stands. LSU has both Bama AND Arkansas left to play. I don't foresee that record surviving.

I REALLY thought Bama was an unstoppable force. I fear Arkansas much more than Bama now, though. I thought LSU
could take Bama straight up in Tiger Stadium from the beginning of the year, but I see a shootout in Fayetteville on the
horizon that I am not sure the Tigers will survive. And I will be working that weekend and not able to watch them, as I
did last night, secretly guiding them to victory over the gators.

Who authorized wearing Orange? We wore Orange in the 80's....when we sucked! We looked like Clemson and we played like Clemson.

All in all, it was a great game and props to LSU. I was really suprised ya'll could play like that, honestly didn't think u had it in ya.

SEC is wide open right now. For my :2, I think it'll still be Bama vs Florida in the title game but who knows

He sat there too confidently in and out of the pocket. He was waiting for the perfect window
to throw and it just wasn't coming. He's still tough to defend, that kid. As for the Tigers, I think
they played as well as they could. They overcame a heck of a lot of self-destructive behavior
and managed to do what they always have over the last 5 years: be there at the end with a
chance to win.

Congratulations to Joey and the rest of the Gamecock fans. The Tide took an ass beating, pure and simple. I think I let the defense fool me...I was concerned about them early on and then talked myself into thinking we had grown up in the Florida game. Obviously we haven't.

And I'm gonna go ahead and throw this out there, Brad. LSU stinks. They stunk it through another victory last night some how, but I'm afraind y'all are bout to roll snake eyes. :=:

Actually they are really good. Les Miles Stinks, and all of them together have exceptional luck,
voodoo, gris gris or whatever. Luck, skill, demonic intervention, you still have to play the game
well enough to be there at the end to steal the victory from the fans who bounce up and down
to that house music that's so popular now, the one that sounds like the opening scene from
"BLADE". They get SO WORKED UP about how their teams have all put the last nail in LSU's
coffin and what do we do EVERY SINGLE TIME?? That's right. We steal that $hit from em and
leave them drunk, quiet AND pissed. It was especially gratifying the other night when it was all
the sorority girls chomping their arms in synch, and "WOOOoo"ing into the camera. You didn't
see any of the Florida men smiling...they knew. MEN know football, and understand that
sick feeling rising in their throats. Women just think they've had too much Southern Comfort.

No Rizzle, my friend, you gotta have the skills it takes to be there at the end, and there was a LOT
of hard running and surprisingly nice passing and catching going on. I went to ESPN3.com and
watched it again, and outside of the freakish luck at the end, we played well enough to be there
when it counted and could be won.

I should say one more thing about the game at Ben Hill Griffin the other night. An out of towner would expect
a little skull-duggery afoot in the officiating, but I was surprised that LSU got the calls they deserved, good
and bad, and the refs didn't seem to be stealing the game this year. A lot of 2009 games seemed tainted by
one huge bad call or another, and we remember the scandals that turned out not to be too scandalous,
concerning the officiating in the SEC. When a call is made, I am man enough to see it as objectively as
possible, benefit to me or not. It was pretty clean EXCEPT for a non-call at 10:50 of the 4th quarter on
a pass caught out of bounds, the LSU guy came up on a FL receiver heading out of bounds, and right there on the big,
wide, white strip, shoves him in the back with his hands, and sends the guy flying into a guy and a table full
of gatorade in cups. I could not believe that LSU was not flagged on it. I guess cause it was not a tackle,
he just shoved him, but with his momentum, it caused a lot of crap to get knocked over. I do not like dirty play.

Haha, when I see it, I calls it. I think out of all the teams in the SEC, LSU and Florida get
the most accusations about that. It disgusts me for that very reason. I hate people to
have irrefutable video evidence that LSU plays dirty. It embarasses me. Like that UF guy
who was seen on TV closeup sticking his fingers into that guy's facemask last year, the
linebacker, name escapes me....Spikes.

I watched my first game on it Saturday, Memphis got their ever-lovin A$$ handed to em by
Louisville...yikes. But it was cool to be able to watch. Had I not been headed to Fox
and Hound, I would have watched LSU versus UF on 'the thrice' :r, too.

I am sure I am the last American male to discover this site, but I don't follow too many teams
and if they weren't on broadcast TV, I missed em.

Well, let's be fair. This was meddling kids, just like Scooby Doo. There are people that took
offense to the "Old South" and 'politically corrected' their way to making a stink and changing
what was fine before. To have no good choices is a product of stupid Aholes who, instead of just
forgetting about all that crap and moving on, dredge it up every day to make themselves feel
miserable all over again. I like the way Florida State handled it better.

Now, is it still embarassing. Sure. But I think in the end they made it worse on themselves,
(provided you believe that the people who ran Col. Reb out of town were black). Personally
I could care less. I thought the best possible choice was Admiral Ackbar.

Chatter here among the extremely deluded is that it's going to be just as imressive to be the SECOND team
to beat the Tide this week and that USC showed them the way to do it. As if Nick Saban coaches in a vacuum
and will not make adjustments to make themselves less vulnerable. I think it is one of their big D linemen who came
up with this 'we can win' scenario. Poor dumb bastards.

Of course, the one way to make it happen is for ME to say it CAN'T possibly happen. I'll pass this time.
I AM however predicting another LSU win against McNeese St.
