The whole hair pulling thing is so cheap. Jr. got into a fight two years ago and the kid ripped out a clump of his hair. Gross, right down to the meat. They reviewed the tape after the game and the kid got a ten game suspension, about on quarter of the league season.

Definitely no need for Big Buff to hit Luongo, but those two went at it the whole series...and I will be there tonight when they "rekindle their love". :r

Eager was just lucky he didn't hit his head harder (without the helmet) on that body slam.

Yeah but could have imagined all the hell if he straigned his back or groin falling back. Vancouver would have called for a public hanging. :r

First thing I thought when I saw that slam comming was OOOOOO shiet! Would have been scary as hell if Bieksa had lost his helmet and landed wrong Carrer or life ending possibly. Have not seen a body slam like that before.

Micahs fist Minimite game this Saturday. Bringing the video cam to watch the trainwreck unfold. Hopefully he knocks someone down. He likes to bump kids off the puck guess working on that in the garage was not the best idea:banger

Tell Micah good luck! :tu

If the Vancouver fans had called for a public hanging for Buff, would it have been by the hair? :r

The tying goal was b.s. Coyotes clearly pushed Ozzie into the net, but game is over now and the season moves on.

Disagree to a point, IMO, wings push the yote into Osgood. Still sucks for Detroit though.

Thrasher's goalie Pavelec gave up 3 goals in 88 secs, starting with a 175-foot fluke goal, to the Capitals in a 5-4 loss. That was embarrassing. He was playing so well too. I hope it doesn't screw up his confidence. At least we will get a chance for redemption next Thursday.

Rules say you can't push the goalie in when he is covering the puck...Ozzie clearly was not, Christos, and to me it also looked like the Wings pushing the 'yote player. At least they got a point, more than the Hawks have gotten in their last 2 games.

Thanks Al, it should be cool to be there regardless, but I am rooting for Chris to open up some NHL team's eyes....maybe someone with a young defensive core who need a 5th-6th DMan who has some teaching skills.

Chelios Bumps the Manitoba's Mike Keane out of the AHL old timer spot with his debut tonight. I know since Mike joined the Moose back in the lockout season that many have benefited from his veteran presence.

How was the game Tom? Saw the score 1-0 moose in a shootout...exciting 1-0 or a sleeper?

I see Manny Legace was between the Pipes for the Wolves...I always really liked him(he autographed a card for me back in the day when he played for the Moose before he made the jump to Detroit).

It was pitiful, Matt. I can see why the Wolves have only 1 win in 7 or 8 games, they can't pass, don't know when to shoot...they are a mess.

The Moose didn't look much better....the two players who really stood out, at least from a speed standpoint, were Matt Pettinger and Marco Rosa. Maybe Rosa will get a look in the Big Game sometime this season, I know Pettinger has been up and down.

I feel bad for Chelios....first, the building was empty. So much for a homecoming. Secondly, the team just can't play, or at least not within this system. He has to be frustrated starting a breakout only to watch his team turn over the puck time and time again.

45 saves by Anderson tonight.

In my wildest dreams would not have guessed a start like this.....

8-1-2.....:wo

Anderson has been unbelievable, I am thrilled for him. :tu

Huet actually had himself a great game and put the Hawks back in the win column with a 2-0 shutout.

Sharks almost didnt beat the Thrashers without Kovalchuck as he left in the first. They better get their Shiet together.

Looks like Ruutus hit on Tucker cost him 60k and 3 games.
Artyukhin suspended 3 games and fined 35 k for slewfooting
Ovechkin fined and not suspended for slewfooting peverley.
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=5...vid=nhl-search

Decent article, but to say Ovechkin isnt a dirty player at times is kind of funny.

Hoooray three games tonight. I have a feeling the sharks are going to get worked like a borrowed mule tonight against philly

That dude hates anyone who aint a "good ole Canadian Boy" Still remember that Soccer celebration/Goal celebration clip where he personally called out Ovie. That was the whole incident where Ovie did the stick on fire dance after a goal afterwards to piss him off more. Cherry makes me laugh and he is great, but that dude HATES EUROS!!!!!

I was suprised too...Cherry said he "likes the way Ovechkin plays the game, that he is (Cherry's) kind of player". I don't remember ever hear him praising an Eastern European before.

I missed em :D

Comments kind of sound like the AHL. That the big difference early in the season I have found between he AHL and the NHL. The play seems to be sloppy , and I think for the most part that a lot to do with the inexperience of the majority of the players on the team. Come back and watch some games in January and you will be amazed by the improvement.

I didn't realize that most of the Moose Firepower was up with the big club, Bolduc, Grabner and Shirokov had all been called up the week previous. Might be one reason why it was such a low scoring affair.

Especially since the Shark's second goal came on a power play that should have gone the other way and the fourth goal was just lucky. I feel that if Kovalchuk hadn't had to leave the game and that penalty was called correctly that the Thrashers would have easily won.
