Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's Friday! We had a good time at Aroma last night, a number of the regulars were out. Army football takes on Miami of Ohio tomorrow here at West Point with a noon kick off. We'll be in the Emergency Operation Center starting at 0500 (5 am) as a number of activities start early. The NASCAR racers are in Las Vegas this weekend and the Yankees will be battling the Red Sox all weekend as well. I hope you all enjoy a few of your favorites and relax as well....... :tu

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's back to work Monday already. Congrats to the Yankees for sweeping the Red Sox this weekend and a big congrats to Army on their fourth win in a row Saturday beating Miami of Ohio 23 - 10. Congrats to Denny Hamlin on taking the checkered flag last night in the NASCAR race held in Las Vegas, he's moving on to the next round of the championship. We got some sad news yesterday, a dear friend of ours, the founder of Hudson Valley Honor Flight, passed away from COVID and I just heard cancer took another friend of ours, the VP of Military Affairs at Pocono Raceway. May they both rest in peace and prayers to their families. Enjoy your week everyone....... :tu

Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0410 as always and it's back to work Tuesday. Beth and I had a great weekend overall: had an enjoyable Friday night at the Oktoberfest with family and friends; on Saturday, I worked the annual Emergency Management Fair at West Point, we had a good turn out and the weather held off as well; Sunday funday was spent at the New Windsor, NY American Legion taking a part in the chili cook-off; and yesterday was a day of running errands and doing some yard work finishing off the weekend with a good cigar and a couple of cold ones. Good morning all, the coffee is on as always and it's Thursday (my last work day this week) which means we'll be at Aroma Cigar Room in Monroe, NY this evening. I have a number of use-or-lose vacation hours I need to use up and we're hosting a get together tomorrow evening at our house, so this way I'll take the day and make sure everything is ready when guests show up. The Philadelphia Eagles are taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this evening starting at 2020 (8:20 pm) in Philly, Go Birds. Army came up short loosing 70 - 56 to Wake Forest, good game all the way to the end. Yesterday, a few of us went to the Krucker's Oktoberfest in Pomona, NY and had a great time. I spent the day Saturday at the Aroma Cigar Room with the fellas; yesterday morning we had breakfast with our dear friends from Michigan that were in town for a wedding; and the rest of the day was spent watching football, smoking cigars and giving out candy to the neighborhood kids. Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's back to work Tuesday. I took yesterday off as I had some use or lose vacation time and had some stuff to get done. Beth and I had a fun and busy weekend: Saturday, I got my new Jeep serviced (7000 mile check up), and then went to the American Legion in New Windsor, NY; Sunday did some early shopping and then sold $1200+ in 50/50 tickets at the annual Legion Special back at the American Legion. Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's Friday! Being that yesterday was Veterans Day, Beth and I met up with a number of American Legion members and other military organizations to lay wreaths at the New Windsor, NY veterans memorial. Afterwards, everyone was invited back to the Legion Hall for lunch and refreshments. Later on in the afternoon, I headed over to meet up with the fellas at Aroma Cigar Room to smoke a couple of my favorites. Tomorrow, Army football takes on Bucknell with a noon kick-off. We'll be in the EOC from 0500 to 1700 (5 pm) as activities start early on West Point with a number of DVs attending. Have a great weekend all and enjoy....... :D

This week is Installation Fall Clean-Up on West Point and our department (roughly 17 of us) will rake up the leaves around our office building today. We have to rake every thing to the curb edge and the leaf sucker truck will pick it up from there.
